The Dave Art / Cradle of Creativity masks reminds me of the Orange County Chopper TV show. Above all else, cram every square centimeter of space with the theme. Little regard given for framing or white space.

Personally my issue with the busy designs is that unless you are up close they just look like a mess. You can't make anything out. The simple designs of the iconic masks work from far away and more memorable for it, imo.

Kind of the Ed Hardy or Affliction of hockey gear, huh?

post 844, largest image, right by the b in Bauer.

And I agree all these Dave art masks are overcrowded and tacky. They look exactly like affliction or Christian audiger etc designed them.

Braden Holtby's mask that he will be auctioning off after the WCOH to support Gord Downie's charity of choice.

Yep. Exactly what's wrong with this?

He made it worse when he went to that stupid 'MB30' one.

Guys like Cujo and Belfour wore the same lid for their entire career with new paint jobs and modest stylistic upgrades. Kipper was the same way. Hasek had his bizarre lid. The masks were part of the individual goalie's mystique.

LOL I find this funny as I do believe this is one of DaveArt's Masks...you can see the MB30 ghosted in to the mask.

I love the large amounts of white. It will look so much better with the away jersey.

I like it. Would be better without the little baby Cs floating around though. Will look sick with the retro aways

Great mask!
And not that it matters, but because summer, there is actually a sliver of a reversed 'C' on the right chin. To make the chin symmetrical.
