Everyone knows Masters 1000 titles only count when comparing Rafa to Roger and Grand Slam titles are more important when comparing Rafa to Novak
Seriously tho I don't know what it's going to take to knock off Novak in Paris, he has to be the favorite.

Early result in today. Kei Nishikori is out of the Hamburg Open as he loses 6-0, 6-3 to Cristian Garin. Not a very good loss for the men's Japanese #1 as Garin has been in absolute poor form since coming back from the covid break.

Felix just won his first round match at the tourney in Hamburg 6-2 7-6(2) over Sonego. Tuned in late to this one, but the few games I watched featured some fine play from FAA.

Felix will play the winner of Bublik and Ramos-Vinolas (originally it would have been the winner of Schwartzman vs. Ramos-Vinolas but Diego pulled out after his deep run in Rome).

Monfils had a bad loss earlier today as well losing to Yannick Hanfmann in straight sets 6-4 6-3

Really? I feel the opposite. If there was a year to miss, this would be the one.

I agree - While I think there is valid concern regarding Bianca's injury history, what a benefit that her ranking has basically been unchanged for this entire year. No need to rush back while still battling these injury issues.

I totally agree if you had to miss an entire year this would be the best year to miss. However I'm worried about her career long term. She missed most of last year, was injured at the US Open (and still won!) and missed the Australian Open this year before covid shut everything down. An entire year is a long time to miss for a young rising star, I just hope when she returns she is healthy and we can see her at 100% and back on the court.

Felix was up 3-0 and then proceeds to lose the first set 6-4 to Bublik. Not good enough at all, way too many errors from FAA.

Bublik takes it 6-4 6-2. Some serious soul searching required for Felix, that was some pretty horrible tennis. I go back to what I said a couple of weeks ago, his game is stale and needs to be refreshed with a coaching change.
