Maybe they should bar these players from going home to visit their families and make them stay at hotels when in Calgary.

They look lethargic every home game. Too many distractions. Maybe they are doing too much community work.

Flames need to play 60 minutes and not just show up for the 3rd period.

Another game lost due to special teams.

Tkachuk and Hamilton are severely under used while Brouwer/Brodie are severely over used by the 3 clown circus behind the bench.

Tkachuk and Hamilton can be major difference makers on the #1 PP.

Run the PP through Gaudreau on the right side flank, with Monahan in his office in the slot, Tkachuk in front of the net in the area he excels, with Gio on the right point and Hamilton on the left point/flank. Have 1 timer options on the point and can also work it down low on either side with Gaudreau/Hamilton who are very good on the PP. Could also set up Hamilton sneaking in from the point when Gaudreau has it...so many options and ways to set up scoring plays with that mix.

Have Brodie-Stone on the 2nd unit with Backlund and 2 of Frolik/Ferland/Benett/Jagr/Janko.

It's really not rocket science.

This is not the same team that went thru that cold patch a couple weeks ago. They have defensively turned a corner. It's undeniable. Tough break on the winning goal.

But I know any type of positivity or non panic button pushing posts aren't allowed here after a loss so I won't bother writing anything else beyond that.

Ya Smith needed that one, Monohan needs to handle that puck in the slot and Backlund needs to bury his chances. That blown 5 on 3 gave the Sharks the momentum for the entire second period, Flames outplayed them thoroughly in the third but Dell was better than Smith in this one

I'm more worried about him attempting a quick fix trade. The main issue with this team isn't the roster, it's the guys behind the bench.

Despite what everyone in the gt said, it was a pretty good effort from the flames. Pretty heartbreaking loss in the final 2 minutes to a softie

Good:
Sam Bennett
Johhny jankowski
Really liked the new lines in general
Pk was good again
Lots of pressure and chances in the 1st, end of the 2nd and most of the 3rd

Something has to be done about the pp, this can’t continue

Maybe the coach should bench a few players

I have little faith they'll do anything with the coaching staff. It's going to be a kneejerk reaction trade.

Could sure use some of those advanced stats to start to produce results. Not sleight against Bingo, but it seems when we play good team D we can’t score or get weak goaltending. When we are scoring well we can’t play D to save our lives. We’re desperately in need of some games where everything clicks. ESPECIALLY THE POWERPLAY. So Cameron:

Liked the line of Janko, Hathaway and Gaudreau. Showed lots of jump and energy.

They did well to battle back and looked like they could at least get a point. I didn't think any of the SJ goals were great but they played well.

Mistakes ended up in CGY net. However you get one PP goal early and the complexion of the game changes

IMO that game could have gone either way.

Brutal 2nd. Great 3rd.

Limited chances. Couldn't capitalize on theirs.

The PP however just flat out sucks. When was the last time they scored a PP goal?
