With all due respect to Eatbread and Phillips, Dube must be our top prospect left at forward now that Djanko has been unchained. Imagine Dube next year on a line with Backlund and Frolik.

I still have Mangianpane ahead of him. His success at the AHL level, just one step from the NHL is phenomenal.

For anyone in need of a template on how to handle rejection or failure, here's Victoria Royals Captain Matthew Phillips just minutes after finding out he wasn't invited to Team Canada's World Junior selection camp.
Although I prefer Dube's quiet rage over seeing players he believes he is better than who were selected higher than him in the draft. He's proving himself to be correct.

They're very different players.
Dube I see as a guy who will dominate possession with his forechecking, and shiftness. Compared to Flames/Former Flames, he's somewhere between Backlund and Byron in terms of what he could bring (not a talent comparision).
Mangiapane I see as a pure winger who can play a strong two-way game when needed, but has offensive zone flair and a high-end shot. He's somewhere closer to a mix of Fleury and Cammalleri (again, not a talent comparision).
Ranking them comes down to what the team needs are as much as their individual ability level. It'd even be interesting to see them on a 4th line together.

Dillon Dube (CGY) just crashed hard into end boards. Immediately left the ice and went to room. Was wearing yellow contact jersey to begin with.

Dante Fabbro (NSH) not on the ice for practice. Dillon Dube (CGY) in a yellow no contact jersey. Both believed to be minor issues and precautionary at this point.

Keep in mind positions can change but here’s what’s left up front:
LW — Dube, Katchouk, Gadjovich, Comtois, Formenton, Kaspick;
RW — Raddysh, Kyrou, Steenbergen, Batherson, Suzuki;
C — McLeod, Steel, Thomas, Howden. Two forwards need to be released.

Surprised Suzuki didn't make it. DiPietro kind of too, though it's Carter Hart's team regardless, I doubt Point will play much.
