These are my two cats, Molly (left) and Murphy. 4 years old and almost 2.
Both were adopted from the Humane Society.

We picked up Molly about a month before my 15 year old cat, Harley, passed.
I've owned 8 cats throughout my life, and she is, by far, the month vocal and affectionate cat I've ever met.
Comes with us and lays beside each kid when we put them to bed, always looking for, or to give, attention and affection, but not in an annoying way.
Loves, tolerates and is very patient with our kids. She's just the perfect cat.
My favorite thing about her is that she will come to you, no matter how far away in the house you are, if you pat your lap really hard. She'll run to you and wait for you to pat the bottom part of her back, near the tail. Exact same behavior we had from a Tortoiseshell we had when I was a teenager.

Murphy has been here for just over a year. He's still a bit sketchy, and jumps when he hears unfamiliar noises, but it's been fun to watch the progression of his comfort level. He's getting there. He too comes with us to put the kids to bed when Molly does not. He's not one to cuddle on our terms, but will jump on your lap 3-4 times per day to let you know he needs some love. Much more of a leg rubber though and vocal as well. Not a nose rubber, which is what I miss the most from my last cat.

Very different cats, but together they are best friends and I'm super thankful to have my owns kids enjoy their company as much as I do and did when I was a child.

She is a farm rescue kitten. A bit skitish, but purs like crazy in your lap. Loves to play with her "mouse". Looking forward to getting to know her!

Gorgeous, Fuzz. We got a new black cat, she's a little psychotic and the other cat is angry about sharing us but I'm sure she'll fit in soon.

I haven't actually posted an update on Gus since he was a kitten (photos I posted below).
Spoiler!

He is now 6 months old and a ferocious beast. He's gotten much darker in complexion. He's actually very gentle but he is basically the cat version of Dug from up - instead of "I am a great tracker", he thinks he's a great hunter, despite no one ever having taught him to hide properly so he's always super obvious but pounces anyway. He never bites hard, but sometimes latches on to my arm when I scratch his belly, so I'm trying to teach him to not do that.

Like every other Ragdoll I've met he likes licking hands and for some reason, noses. He's obsessed with noses. Apparently other peoples' noses must be clean at all times and he has taken it upon himself to ensure that this is so. He also tends to wait by the door for me to come home and then follows me around (he's basically never in a room I'm not in). If you close the door on him he just yells, assuming that there was some mistake and he wasn't supposed to have been excluded.

Come to think of it, he's basically a dog.

CHL that's pretty funny. Every trait you described is my cat. She's the opposite of independent. She constantly follows me around and is always waiting by the door when I come home.

She also bit and scratched me too much. I had to give her timeouts when bad and positive reinforcement when good with treats. She occasionally goes too far when we play but is mostly good now. She's about 3 years old now. Much more calm.

Picked up one of these for Lucy to play with. Good fun for both of us, she loves chasing it around, and it is to small and light to hurt her if my driving skills fail. This way I get to watch hockey, and play with kitteh!

From the other night. I've got a new buddy to watch hockey with! Lucy likes to sit on the subwoofer and swat at the puck and the Sedin twins.

I just miss this thread.

Yesterday, after a super cold swim and a roll in the snow, pup goes nuts running in circles buzzing his dad. Dad flashes the snarly teeth. Game on...

Both are doing well! Lets see your cat too.

Mushu, the fat one, is still very chunky. He always steals whatever food is left after Mojo has eaten his fill.

Mushu is the best cuddler. My wife says whenever she wakes up in the morning she looks over at me and Mushu is sleeping completed on his back tucked into my armpit.

Not my pet unfortunately, but I had to post this after seeing it. A political commentator had the audacity to complain about this being his seatmate. I'm pretty sure we'd all pay triple our fare to sit next to this dashing pup.
