Default Treliving still looking to add depth to blue line

Per Steinberg

Treliving also says the team is still looking at ways to add more depth to the team’s blueline. #Flames

Pretty clear indication Stone is on his way out IMO

That would be removing depth.

Still think Patrick Wiercioch ends up a Flame sometime before the start of next season.

Sustr intrigues me. He got pushed out of Tampa but used to play a lot of minutes for them. Big guy too. Don’t know if it is a fit.

Someone like Davidson or Sustr or Folin as a depth D signing? Personally, I’d rather see Kylington or Andersson given a shot, but it never ever hurts to have NHL caliber D in the system come playoffs.n

Yes to Sustr, although I don't know where he'd fit on our NHL roster.

I don't really get this. If anything I'd be looking at moving somebody like Stone to make room for Andersson.

Sustr is big, true, but he has never had a positive +/- in an NHL season.

I'd be interested in Dylan McIlrath.

I would like to see a good AHL vet

Kylington/Andersson/Valimaki needs one more guy to fill out Stockton's top 4

Unless Prout is that guy and then they sign a #7

I think what it means is they are looking for the next Cody Goloubef. Someone to play big minutes in STK.

I am okay replacing Wotherspoon and Bartkowski with cheap guys but ultimately I think they need to move Stone and his contract

He could be really forcing the youth to earn their spots, and may be putting a big priority on winning at the AHL level as well.

Valimaki, Andersson, Kylington all at the AHL level to start the year could make for one hell of a team.

Maybe we're assuming too much when thinking Kulak has a guaranteed spot as well?

Yeap. A big beast to patrol the blueline in STK.

It's true we will need that especially if Andersson/Prout are hanging around too throughout the season. We lost Goloubef and Wotherspoon on the minor team so we need to fill it out to give that group a good chance to push for playoffs too.
