Default Bronze Medal Game: Slovakia vs. Finland

vs 8:00 PM MT CTV

The last Olympic game for many Finnish greats: Selanne, Koivu, Peltonen, Lehtinen.

no hey-oh required. 4 years from now he's likely done and if still playing, he's not going to be the starter so I expect he wouldn't want to be part of the team...I'm not even sure they'd ask him to participate.

I'd prefer Backstrom start and Kipper rest.

Kipper needs to start to redeem himself from yesterday. The rest is great but the piece of mind of helping them get a bronze will be even better. This is assuming he rebounds from yesterday. Go Finland!

I'd like Kipper to come back to Calgary with a medal and a win in his last Olympic game. For that reason, I hope he starts.

However, if Backstrom gets the start, Kipper will have something to prove against him on Wednesday.

A strange situation: Slovakia ended yesterday's Canada game on a high note while Team Finland is coming from one of the most embarrassing performances in its history.

Finland will probably want to show that they can still play, but I don't think they'll win since Slovakia is likely to be hungrier for a medal.

Someone should start a different GT for this game.

Kipper usually rebounds from a bad game. Go Kipper and go Fins!

Finland's coach had a quote after the semi's that he was without a doubt going with Kipper in the bronze game.

I have a feeling Slovakia is taking home the bronze in a boring trap style game 2-1.
