2009 Masters Tourney
I am so excited for this tournament this year. Should be interesting to see if Tiger can make a full comback by winning a major. I think he will finish in the top 5 but will come up short.
My prediction: Geoff Ogilvy
This is by far my favorite golf tournament of the year. To me it means the golf season is near (in Calgary).....lets all hope for that!!!

The Masters is always a fun tourney to watch. Our courses have been open here for about a month, but it's after watching the Masters that I want to try and get out and see if I still suck at the damn game. Certainly all eyes will be on Tiger Woods and can he win the first major of the year to give himself a shot at the grand slam. Will be interesting to see if the other top players on tour have been able to close the gap on Tiger. Can Padraig Harrington win a third consecutive major?

I love the Masters, and plan on going someday. (as a spectator, of course)
I like the fact that Augusta National has the means to limit advertisements, and even go without advertisements if need be. They keep their concession prices low, because they simply don't need the revenue.
I appreciate the fact that it is the only major that doesn't change sites as well.
As for this weekend, I'll be pulling for Vijay Singh as usual, but I think Tiger is already in the heads of everyone. If I had to choose Tiger or the field, I'd pick the field, but I wouldn't have supreme confidence in that wager.
The Singh, Ogilvy, Els group should be interesting.

Anyway, go Tiger. Would love to see a dramatic final day at Augusta.

I made a similar bet yesterday. I could have any 3 golfers but only one of Phil and Tiger, or i could have the field.
I took Tiger, Ogilvy, and Ames.

I have blocked the Masters off in my schedule and let my wife know that I am going to be incommunicado for a few days.
If I had to bet, I would bet on Tiger (he is listed at 1-1 right now). Sergio, Patrick and Ernie all have some challenges in their game right now, but I would love to see one of them win - either Sergio for his first major or Patrick/Ernie for the third part of their personal Grand Slam.
Of course it would be great to see Weir in contention, but I don't know if he has the horses this year. And of course, it would be magic to see Freddy Couples in the mix - hope his legs and back can hold up for the week.

I'd love to see the Shark win this one. I'd give it a 500-1 shot, but to win this would maybe make up for some of his famous collapses there, and it would be a great story.

Shingo Katayama (the Japanese pimp) is leading the Masters (yes, it's still early!)
The very last group to tee off is the group of Kim, Ishikawa and McIlroy. If I was at Augusta, I'd follow this fun group!

Sorry Padraig Harrington.
And Chad Campbell is 9 under with three to play. Lowest round at a Major is 63...

CAmpbell has hit 83% of the fairways and is driving about the field average. He's hit 75% of the greens and is averaging 1.2 putts per hole. Mister consistency out there.

Yes, because 19 year olds who've been a pro < 2 years generally win majors?
