I don't think that he deserved a bullet. I think that he deserved to be lead to the gallows, and publicly executed while people cheered. Please do not make this ###### into a martyr, or anyone like him.
The best thing that we could do as a society, would be to stop putting psychopaths, sociopaths and narcissists into positions of power.
I'm sorry if my answer wasn't soft and woke enough for you. Cuddle your worry sock.

That’s very cruel.
I’m hurt.
I do think you are wrong though. I do not believe this guy should have been killed because of his job.

How he performed his job. He basically weaponized it and maimed and killed a lot of people. The insurance game as a whole needs to be rethought.

What is your opinion on the firm employing predatory business behaviours?
Luigi Mangione will forever be known as a martyr.

Is no insurance better? Is that what you mean by ‘rethink the whole insurance game’?

Lifetime In Suspension

It is interesting how merely modifying the way people are killed makes their comeuppance more palatable to some than others. Invade a country with gun and tanks? "Kill em all and let god sort them out! The only good Russian is a dead Russian!" Kill thousands with the stroke of a pen from behind a desk? "Oh why can't we be civil about our business leaders? We need to respect societal norms "
The banality of evil indeed.

You're making a pretty big assumption that those denied claims aren't eventually overturned (making the expenses the same or higher due to not addressing health concerns in a timely manner) and if they're not overturned, that they don't lead to other problems that the company then has to pay for.
Also if leadership knows that they are killing people to offer lower premiums they are far more culpable than the clients who likely don't know better or might have the choice made for them by their employer.

How about as outside the box thinking, make it a tax free non profit industry. A zero sum game. That would also remove the influence of insurance from Healthcare, and lobbying groups.

Hey! Children are largely useless and easy to get more of whereas CEOs are highly trained, educated and valuable and difficult to replace.
It makes perfect sense!

Does the existence of insurance make healthcare as a whole more expensive?
I think it might. If you have less dollars chasing the services does price come down?
In which case the answer to above is yes there should be no insurance. People pay for what they need but people can only afford what they can afford.

I suppose the difference is there aren’t people cheering the deaths of the children. So people don’t have to counter those silly arguments because they don’t exist.

That this shooting didn’t trigger a gun control discussion suggests a lower degree of outrage vs kids getting shot.
