It is weird to me that these games are streamed online but not on their actually cable channels. Can't miss that third consecutive hour of last night's Sportscentre I guess. Canadian sports channels suck.

I'm thinking of going and it's $40. Ridiculous.

Hockey is expensive to produce for television broadcast. It's simply not worth it to broadcast these types of games.
I didn't watch so did the game have all the typical camera angles, announcers, etc? Or was it more of a raw stream?

Watching the game now, not sure why Dickinson and Schaeffer are getting so much icetime, they're both locks to make the team.
Parekh is not getting much ice at all which is silly to me. See what he can do. You know the other two are studs.

They all need to play together as a team, it isn't just about who the 19th and 20th guys are going to be.

Disagree, you know the top guys will be there. You need to see which of the bubble guys you want to take. Its like they're trying to win this game rather than actually scout the talent.

Dickinson hasn't really impressed at all, honestly.
Parekh has only gotten 5 shifts so far. He never truly had much of a chance, and that was decided when he wasn't invited in the first place.

Two PP's. Rotated through Parekh, Dickinson, and Schaeffer.

1-0 Canada Jr's, there was 1 PP that I saw, Parekh played the first 30 seconds but didn't get into the O zone.
Schaeffer does look really good though, best d-man on the ice in my opinion. Would be great to snag him in the draft.

Probably played 45 seconds and the team didn't manage to get a setup.

Hope he gets more chances on the pp. The team should evaluate the players during the pre-tournament games too.

Ya idk what Canada's plan is here, none of D except for Shaeffer look to have any offensive ability. I know Dickinson has 40+ points but he is so non impressive in these games, even in the highlights i saw of his in OHL, most of his points are unsustainable, I think his offense is really overrated this year.
Canada is gonna struggle to get any offense form their D. I definitely think Parekh is getting cut

Parekh is sure fun to watch, I hope he makes it just because no other d-man is quite like him.
Guys like Bonk, Mynio, Allen, Price, seem like a dime a dozen type players.
Don't really stand out in any way, your typical steady defenseman. Go for the gusto! Bring in the dynamic game breakers I say.

I get wanting some steady guys, but at the very least Parekh should be the type of guy you bring as your #7 in a tournament like this.
A potential game breaker.

Gotta think Bonk is the only true lock in that list since he is a returnee.
Dickinson and Schaefer likely locks as well.
so 4 spots for Allen, Akey, Gibson, Molendyk, Mynio, Parekh, Price
So gotta be top 4 out of 7. He's in tough, but imo it would be smart to take him as a 7 for his offensive upside. Even if the other 6 play most games, at least they have an option then to jumpstart the offense in case they start the tournament slow

Molendyk is a lock too (and I'm not sure Schaefer is a lock).
He made the team last year but then got injured in one of the pre-tournament games and didn't play.
No chance they cut him this year.
