This game flying by is definitely it's saving grace. This isn't as bad as the Colts-Broncos debacle a few years ago, but that game was also hilarious and this is just dull.

San Francisco linebacker De'Vondre Campbell refused to enter Thursday night's game in the third quarter after losing his starting job when Dre Greenlaw returned from an injury.

Campbell had started 12 of the first 13 games of the season and played 90% of defensive snaps for the 49ers but was benched for San Francisco's 12-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams after Greenlaw came back for his first game since tearing his left Achilles tendon in last season's Super Bowl.

Greenlaw had eight tackles in the first half but left the game in the third quarter with soreness in his Achilles tendon. That's when Campbell refused to enter the game.

"He said he didn't want to play today," coach Kyle Shanahan said after the loss, which left the 49ers (6-8) on the brink of playoff elimination.

"He's a professional," cornerback Charvarius Ward said. "He's been playing for a long time. If he didn't want to play he shouldn't have dressed out. He could have told them that before the game. I feel like that was some selfish s--- that he did. It definitely hurt the team. Dre went down and we needed a linebacker. ... For him to do that, that's some selfish stuff to me in my opinion. He's probably going get cut soon."

"It's one person making a selfish decision," tight end George Kittle said. "I've never been around anybody that's ever done that and I hope I'm never around anybody who does that again."

They pretty well have to cut Campbell I assume? Wouldn't be good for the team to keep him in the locker room. The lack of professionalism never ceases to amaze with some of these players. Getting paid millions to do a job and don't go into the game to do your job when it's required is just dumb. What team is going to want to bring him into their locker room?

Have to think the 49'ers record being what it is caused him to orchestrate this. Probably hoping to get released and than sign with a playoff team. If you're talented enough you do get away with this in the NFL. Any good Offensive Tackles or Coenerbacks on non playoff teams care to pout? I can think of a team who needs an upgrade at those positions badly.

Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss said Friday he is being treated for cancer and is recovering from major surgery.

Moss said a cancerous mass was found in his bile duct, between his pancreas and liver. He said he had surgery to put a stent in his liver on Thanksgiving and then underwent a 6-hour procedure about a week ago to remove the cancer. He said he was hospitalized for six days and released Friday.

"I didn't think I would ever be in a position like this, as healthy as I thought I was," Moss said.

Moss said he will undergo radiation and chemotherapy.

"All the prayers, the well wishes, I really felt that, my family felt that," Moss said, wearing a gray hoodie with the words "Team Moss."
