Tried to give Gibson the night off and "The Hutch" only lasted 20 minutes.

Back-up position might need to be shored up.

We do. I want to say that last one was because Vas was supposed to be in net and didn't get switched, but Vas has had a crappy start anyway and maybe the extra day on the bench will do wonders.

WSH GM was so twitchy last night ahead of the game against the Flyers that he sent in an updated set of lines that didnt make it through the fax machine. We are glad it didnt get used as we got the 2 points. Bottom 2 lines for us carried the load as we were able to outshoot the Flyers. We are still a game under .500

Really rough outing. The line changes just didn’t work. Will probably have to revert back to what I had a couple of games back.

I’ll give a few more games to this lineup, otherwise will have to explore trade options to change things up.

The Ottawa-Detroit game had a shootout that might have lasted longer than the actual game.
