I find it interesting that it was his Spittin Chiclets interview that got him suspended. I am a huge fan of Spittin Chiclets, but have thought before they are walking a fine line with some of the stories, since Biz and Whit both have other employment (Coyotes and NHL network).

Listening to the JR episode, the comments about Tappen were a little odd. They probably should have edited that out.

That's really weak. Hope this doesn't cause guests on spitting chicklets podcast to censor themselves. The stories are the best part. Oh, and the manscaping ads haha

Honestly, the way he said it was respectful and in a story telling kind of way. Hope they do not fire him over this.

NBC had the Matt Lauer thing though. So they very likely are sensitive about stuff like this.

There's no such way of talking about having threesomes with coworkers in a respectful way, especially publicly like that.

He could have been much much worse, but it was still inappropriate.

Weaksauce. Tappen and Sharp are obviously family friends. And the Carter one was just a chirp. I'd rather hear JR on Chiclets than NBC.

Matt Lauer forced unwanted anal sex on a coworker sooo a little different.(but I see what you are saying)

That said, I get it from an HR perspective. You can't do that. Exposes the company to liability.

From what i remember It was framed that people must be wondering why this guy was there with two good looking Blondes. He mentioned a lady in the pool even came up to ask what it was all about. He ended it by praising Tappen as being an amazing broadcaster and flat out said that she was there because she is good friends with his wife.

I am sure there is a transcript around somewhere. The Carter and Sharp stuff is a nothing burger.

This is the point in the world when a correction becomes an over correction.

This isn't rocket science. Don't allude to wanting to #### your coworkers publicly, even jokingly, if you want to keep your job.

He's not getting fired, he got suspended for being inappropriate, people making it more than that are the ones who are getting triggered, not the PC crowd.

That's seems harsh based on the context of what was said in the interview... but not a smart thing to joke about on a big podcast.

The suspension certainly comes regarding the Tappen comments. I think it was in jest, but you still shouldn't be saying stuff like that about your co-worker, no matter how close of friends you might be. It's a bad look that reflects on NBC.

I imagine it's a short suspension, apologies likely happen internally, and he's back on the job in the not too distant future.

This has a definite Aziz Ansari feel to it. NBC speaking to him internally would have been a better response.

It also sucks because I think there will be a chill on anyone who goes on any of those shows now.

An internal email from HR is probably sufficient...

I will walk back my comments a bit and say I can see why they would suspend him. I just hope he is not fired over this.

That is completely ridiculous. There is absolutely nothing that he said that was over the line and NBC should be ashamed.
