Add in the jihad. The inspiration of the jihad was St. Louis Blues columnist Jeff Gordon and his insane personal takes on the Flames and their situation. In response several Flames fans - Johnny Flame, Lanny MacDonald, Reggie Dunlap, and friends - went to the Blues site and registered as long time Blues fans to pump their tires and feed their delusions. Bernie Federko, Barclay Plaguer, Gary Unger, and other long time Blues players were registered and the long game was underway. Gordon frequented the board and these guys just stoked his inane ramblings, which he would put in print. It was hilarious and began a tradition of Flames fans guerrilla warfare against stupidity everywhere.

The player obsessives....where r u Chris O’Sullivan with his Backlund hate....another poster, I forget his name, who obsessively proposed line combos with Baertschi (?) before he ever played a game, and NEVER posted again once Sven played his first game....there are many others

Sliver could fill a chapter, starting with objectively better lake communities that can be navigated on scooters

Almost as annoying as attaching -gate to anything controversial.

Okotoker
Kiprusofarians
Ken King, from love to loath
Roger Millions
Dr. Fraser Stang

...if not a book, there at very least needs to be a CP history timeline with links to the crazy threads.

The layoffs in the oil patch thread. That's how I found this forum.

I rarely let the meta CP stuff get to me but I was so annoyed at the reaction of some CPers to the mods ***gasp*** wanting certain gifs behind spoiler tags. As if it was some terrible affront to freedom of speech and CP was turning into some sort of internet gulag with the thought police controlling the discussion.

Thankfully I think I was banned when the You Love You Lose, or whatever the hot women thread was called, was locked and deleted. I seem to recall a lot of hand wringing over people thinking CP owed them the right to post pictures of scantily clad women.

Being a Canuck fan I particularly enjoyed the April Fool's Day prank where another Canuck fan (Blaster?) was made moderator.

Oh man and you just reminded me of the Vancouver riot thread. I still remember where I was when that went down after the game. Rob Brown achieved legendary status that night with his coverage.

Yeah, to Chicago IIRC. And pretty sure Kobatuzzied was Chuck'sCup, that was the original bet. After he lost and I changed it, he appealed and it was changed to Kobatuzzied.

My sense is that it wouldn't be a Chapter but an ongoing saga.
