He's big and can skate, but he isn't physical and doesn't have much offensive upside. He probably tops out as a bottom pairing guy.

It's pretty clear the red flags re. Kaliyev are substantial.
I wouldn't be upset if the Flames took the home run swing but I think it's highly unlikely. Anyone hoping for that is setting themselves up to be disappointed.
