2020 Blue Jays Season Thread

Given that I don’t think the Jays are really ready to contend yet I think they would be wise to see what they have in their In house OFers first. I’m not that high on many of them either but there’s enough talent there you need to give it a chance and not bring in someone who would not be a long term option no matter how he played.

In a short season so much can happen they I don’t see the value in short term options to try and get a couple more wins, if your lucky.

I'm not high on any of them either, but I get wanting to give them a shot. If one of them actually figures it out that has a much greater positive effect on this team when they are ready to contend than Puig coming here for 60 games and maybe providing 0.5 WAR and being a dick bag in the locker room.

Yeah, with a young impressionable team, Puig could very well be a negative influence. Though it could work to get the team to all hate him and bond together.

I agree, if they do bring someone in, I'd prefer a lesser player that is well know to be the consummate professional and great team guy.

The telecast has started. I have never been this excited for intrasquad baseball before, it's like Christmas morning in my home right now, finally live sports!

Bo led off with a homer, now Reese has hit a grand slam with 1 out in the top of the first. 5-0 for team Bo.

Also they may not play 3 outs in each inning, Montoya may pull the plug on some innings sooner than others.

Waguespack hasn't looked great, but there is also no emotion whatsoever.

They pulled the pin on the top iof the 1st after the grand slam because they are pulling Waguespack I think. But Shoemaker came in the bottom half and had a real quick 3 up, 3 down inning
