Kuemper 1/3 of the way to a shutout with some great desperation saves.

It would really feel weird for the Oilers and their fans, watching this.

Totally foreign way of playing.

More of that Mony.

Dominated the circle. Played a big part in the Avs not getting much possession time in our end.

Monahan with 7 out of 8 face-off wins, that's impressive, and he's making it look easy! Glad to see he has a bit of a fire lit under him.

7/8 is nuts, that's really important. "Can't score if you don't have the puck" says big D and I suspect it's true.

Feels like both teams are being conservative with their energy.

Both groups just want to stay healthy.

Should jump a few gears when someone breaks the ice.

Good for Monahan. Looked engaged big time. Keep it up.

Random thought. If a team starts a period on the power play, the faceoff to start the period should be in the offensive zone.

Your momentum is broken up by the intermission. Then faceoff at centre ice?

It's almost like the team is punished for the opposition committing an infraction with less than 2 minutes left in the period.

Kadri could have been called for holding. He dragged Z down and held him.

Flames are winning draws, but losing some board battles.
