Ah the fact Anderson called himself Jackie Robinson back in 2019? And Donaldson has called him Jackie Robinson in the past? Wouldn't Anderson take that as a compliment? to be called on the of pioneers of the sport?

Yeah, Anderson called himself Jackie Robinson (which is ridiculous IMO) so what if JD did it too.

It still isn’t his place to use that nickname. He’s a bit of an idiot to do it. And let’s face it would anyone be surprised if he’s a total tool?

JD an TA are both pompous D-bags
But if TA is dumb enough to compare himself publicly to Jackie Robinson, he should expect to get ribbed about it. I mean, what a moron.

Just reading about it now - seems like a whole lot of nothing. I wasn't a fan of Donaldson's arrogance (and see a little bit of it in Bo as well), but when he admits right away he called Anderson that based on his interview, it seems pretty clear he was just getting under his skin without a racist tone. Tim chose to view it as a racist undertone, and it's clearly just a miscommunication between both of them. Meh.

Yeah if JD refered to himself as Babe Ruth in an article and someone called him Babe to bust his balls it would be nothing. TA is trying to spin this into something its not. You reffered to yourself as the modern Jackie and your getting ribbed for that. Not because your a black player. JD is still an ####### tho.

Josh Donaldson has received a one-game suspension for his comments Saturday; he has chosen to appeal.

^ As he should. That's silly, but I guess the league just wants to make sure there are no racial undertones to anything in the future. I see their point as well. Oh well.

@ctrent:
Tommy Pham slapped Joc Pederson "Will Smith-style" during Reds batting practice on Friday, according to multiple sources. The Reds scratched Pham shortly before the game started at 8:48 after a rain delay
#Reds say MLB is investigating the incident before the game and Pham agreed not to play pending the results of the investigation

I love that Joc exposed the reason this happened. This is so great (and stupid)

Same Tommy Pham that got stabbed at a strip club in San Diego a few years ago.
Sounds like a real pillar of society.

... wait ... who goes to a strip club in San Diego when Tijuana is next door, you can see it from PetCo.
That's like going to a strip club in Longueuil, dude Montréal is literally *right there*

Even funnier is how Peterson keeps talking about more and more details about it, now even reading out the texts and showing the meme he sent. Completely straight faced like a 10 year old surprised and scared kid. Almost like the PR staff are on vacation and he's allowed to say whatever he wants. The whole situation is so funny.

I think it's great. I mean ,why not? Pham was being bizarre for no reaaon.
There's no disrespect or anything to be construed as Joc picking on the guy or bullying or lying or anything, even as those issues are super sensitive right now.
And instead of Pham coming out and vaugely trying to play some sort of victim card in which people now automatically assume the worst, Pederson drops full disclosure to shut anything like that down before it gets some sort of miguided legs in the media/social media.

The Phillies fired Joe Girardi and named Rob Thomson interim manager for the remainder of the season.

Angels have lost 12 straight 27-17 to 27-29, including the 4 game sweep by the Jays.

14 straight losses now and not even changing every player's walk-up song to Nickelback helped last night:
https://www.mlb.com/angels/news/ange...ckelback-songs
Also, one more against the Red Sox followed by Mets then Dodgers. Not looking good.
