Meet your 21-22 defensemen
Chris Tanev
Noah Hanifin
Rasmus Andersson
Nikita Zadorov
Juuso Valimaki
Erik Gudbranson
Michael Stone
Not a great group lol. Wouldnt be surprised if Valimaki has a short leash too and ends up in the press box and we need to see an abysmal Gudbranson-Stone pairing

Oh this team is going to be bad.
Does Stone rent a room at Treliving's house or something?

I like Stone. I don't like Gudbranson. Why both?
This team makes no sense and I have no idea what the plan is. A truly puzzling mess that somehow is now a cap team with virtually no offensive threats past Johnny. God help us if he gets injured or leaves.

Think it might be him or Kylington. Kylington out would mean no big change coming, they just needed to move out a body out.
Andersson out in a big deal to change the forward group would be very interesting. Either Gudbranson plays with Zadorov to make a physical stay-at-home pair or they move Valimaki to RD.
Hanifin - Tanev
Zadorov - Valimaki
Mackey - Gudbranson
Kylington - Stone

I like Michael Stone. He always comes in and plays his role. Can't believe Gudbranson makes more than double Stone.

A bit odd with the Gudbranson signing. Lots of d-men now. Trade coming?

You have Zadorov and Val on the wrong sides, but yeah, probably.
I'll say one thing. It's a huge D. Kylington is the only small guy at 6'0" 183lb. Mackey is 6'2" 183. Tanev 6'2" 197. Everyone else is above 6'2" and 210 lbs. Well above in a bunch of cases.

Must be nice for people like Stone and Gudbranson, as they'll likely play part time, work out in the gym full time, and get paid six or seven figures to do so. That sounds so damn sweet.

The thing is, they're not even deliberately bad to the point where you can get excited about the draft. Treliving has somehow put together this dog food excuse of a roster and then paired them with an elite coach, so they'll win just enough to not be truly terrible.
Glad we get to keep our 12th overall pick, I guess?

I love me an angry face puncher, y'all know me... but even I'm a little bewildered. Even if this is a Darryl move the numbers game doesn't make sense...
