May 22 - 2 games
Florida and Tampa are already underway in Tampa, Florida just scored a power play goal (yes, that's correct) to tie the game up at 1-1 near the end of the 1st period. Tampa leads the series 2-0, huge game for Florida today.
Carolina leads their series 2-0 and will travel to New York and play the Rangers at 1:30 MT.

Must win for Florida today.
Must win for the Rangers as well, but they at least play at home.

Lightning score on the empty net with 4 minutes to go. 4-1 Lightning about to take a 3-0 series lead.
I don't have much else to add other than this:
#### I hate the Tampa Bay Lightning. I hate them so ####ing much.

Panthers remind me of the Lightning and Flames in 2019
They don’t play playoff style hockey

The Rangers score in Zibanejadian fashion on the power play, 1-0.

The only team that can beat Tampa is Calgary
I dont see the canes or rangers or the blues/avs beating the bolts

Pretty crazy to watch the Panthers wilt like this. I think most people had this series going the distance, with the Panthers coming out of top.
I really wanted this to be a great series, but another part of me loves watching the embarrassment. Sweep! Sweep! Sweep!

If they get swept is Brunette guaranteed to come back? I just think they need an overhaul of their system as it's not conducive to playoff success. The Lightning looked spent against the Leafs and a round later without Point it's kind of shocking that they are beating the Panthers down like this.

By my eyes, in Game 1 and 2 the Panthers were the better team and we're super unlucky to not get at least one win.
The flames were the better team in all three of the Dallas losses. That's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. But resilient teams find ways to win. Sometimes - like Tampa - you win games you shouldn't. And sometimes - like the flames - you have to be the better team in 7 straight games to win 4 of them.

I’m sorry man. What changes would you make to the Panthers in the off-season?

Upgrade Ekblad's partner from Weegar to a legitimate top pair shutdown type guy. Push Weegar down the lineup or trade him outright to a team desperate for that type of defenseman. Problem is there's a short list of quality d-men available for that type of role. I could see them going after Josh Manson as a possibility.
Sign Pete DeBoer as head coach to right the ship defensively. See if Brunette wants to stay as assistant, but let him go if he doesn't. I know people would say to jump on Trotz, but I just don't see him fitting with this roster.
Re-sign Marchment to a 5 year deal.
Other than that, not much else. This team has a very strong core in place. Just needs a few pieces to get over the hump. They don't have much cap space next year because the big hit from Yandle's buyout is on the books counting for over $6 million in dead cap space.
Huberdeau-Barkov-Verhaeghe
Duclair-Bennett-Reinhart
Marchment-Lundell-Hornqvist
Lomberg-Luotsarinen-warm body
Ekblad-?????
Forsling-Weegar
Montour-Gudas
Bob/Knight

There isn't much change needed for a team that just put up a 120+ point season.
Tampa got swept by Columbus 3 years ago in round 1, and they are about to win their 10th straight series because they stayed patient and didn't make sweeping changes.

Yeah, the last thing they should do it over react. The Eastern Conference is so tight and there is really not much separating teams. Any team can come out of the conference and I would have a hard time calling it an upset. Florida inflated their points in the standings a little with OT and SO wins. Most good teams fail at least once before learning how to win in the playoffs. Also, Vasilevskiy is insanely clutch in big games.
