I don't understand why parents push their kids to do activities they really aren't interested in, let alone pay for classes
So the boy still doesn't want to dance, and to boot the dad has brought him in 20 minutes late for a 45 minute class for 2 weeks in a row. What a waste of money

I am not sure I agree with the premise. I have never gone through the hassle of going to Costco just to get a chicken. The chicken is more of a ďwell, since weíre here might as well pick up a chickenĒ after thought.

I just donít get how the chickens are seen as a loss leader for Costco.

I dont read the comment that way.

First of all, you'd have to be insane or an idiot to go to Costco to buy 2 things.

You may go in for those 2 things but then you're using a Forklift for all the other crap you bought along the way.

I read that comment as: "I needed 2 things but always come out of Costco with 2,000 things. So I went somewhere more convenient (but perhaps more expensive) and bought my 2 things and not the other 1,998 things."

I've actually successfully managed a few trips to Costco where I'm just picking up a couple things. Usually it is when I need a brisket for a weekend smoke.

Is John Carpenter's The Thing appropriate viewing for a nine year old?

I'm about to find out...

Can her feet touch the ground if she feels unbalanced? Or does the bike have those pedal-in-reverse brakes where she needs to keep her feet on the pedals to slow down?

I’d never enter a Costco unless I’m intending to drop a hundred.

The chickens are a loss-leader.

How are they a loss-leader unless you intended to go and just get a chicken?

With self-checkout, Costco is very doable for small buying. I easily buy 95+% of my groceries (in $'s) there.

Unless I lived next door, I canít imagine going with the intent to just buy the chicken. Maybe itís different at other locations. I think Iíd just go to a grocery store and pay a dollar or 2 more for one from Coop or something.

Our Costco trips are triggered if we run low on eggs, cheese, ground beef/pork, and milk all at around the same time.

It's worth the drive to see them start up if you havent.

We drove by around noon and saw a couple of fire trucks out and the shoulder closed off. Do they normally do that as a precaution, or did something go wrong yesterday? It's been a few years since I went to see it live, but I don't recall the fire department being out.

I will say, even just driving by it was a good way to get my son asking more questions about WWII.

I often go in with the concept of "only what I can carry".I'll grab a box and fill it and carry it. If I get a cart, I often get in trouble.

These reusable cable ties are awesome! I've been using them to beautifully organize loose cables.
