Power forwards develop slower. Tage is a huge guy too. Takes time to acquire size and then, in cases like Tage, even more time to learn how to use that size properly.
I wonder what the list of power forwards who dominated from day one in the NHL would look like. Not being a smartass, just actually curious. Like, Lindros immediately jumps to mind, but there aren't many 18/19 year olds that are Lindros' (or Lebron's) size. Edit: Maybe Looch? He was unstoppable early in Boston, can't remember if it was his rookie season or a couple years in though.
