A quick heads up, starting tomorrow I will be traveling around Ontario and Quebec so OOTs may happen earlier or later as internet access time is limited especially with relatives. I may get to see the Penguins-Senators game this Saturday.

Since the Flames aren't playing tonight I'll take a Canucks and Oilers loss for my birthday. Since the Canucks already scored they can lose 7-3 and the Oilers can lose 37-0.

Happy birthday. I hope you're not 73, for your sake

Pretty good news so far:

Isles leading the Canucks 3-2 in the 2nd.

Red Wings are up 3-0 over the Yotes at the end of the 1st.

Panthers up 2-0 after 2 periods in Philadelphia. Goals by Ekblad and Dadonov.

Hoffman gets another assist to extend his point streak to 13 games. Dadonov extends his point streak to 12. Panthers looking for their 5th win in a row since Luongo's return.

This Panthers team had a tough start, but they look really good right now.

I know that Ottawa absolutely had to get rid of Hoffman, but oh WOW did they get robbed.

I don't know that they did. They traded Karlsson anyway, so that conflict would have gone away, and most of the legal proceedings have absolved Hoffman's girlfriend of any wrong-doing.

It's just the most Ottawa thing to get rid of BOTH players in a personal conflict for mediocre returns. Dorion continues to be the absolute worst GM in the NHL.

D'oh! Flyers come out buzzing in the 3rd after a lackluster first two periods. Voracek scores to make it a 1 goal game. 2-1 Panthers.

Could be a great OOT if the Oilers can find a way to lose.

Of course it boils down to one player. All these years, all those horrible draft picks, and it in 2018 they rely on one player they fluked out and got when they won the lottery. If he gets hurt.............look out below.

As of right now, the Flames are the only team in the division that have won MORE than 50% of their games played.

Oilers finding some really fluke ways of getting the puck in the net. Miss the net on a point shot and bank it off the goaltender coming off the boards. Another one where the puck goes wildly into the air off the goaltender's blocker and then Cagguila gloves it down, whiffs on the puck, and it still finds its way past the goaltender. Two crap teams, but one is getting all the bounces.

Yikes, the Pacific really isn't doing that hot to start this year. The OOT has been pretty favourable nightly across the board. I really hope the Flames bank as much as possible right now.
