I'm fine with seeing Stone, he's still effective and Rasmus didn't look as good as usual last night

Yeah, need to let Stone get a couple reps in. Gotta manage the fatigue level of the rookies throughout a 82 game season at certain points.

Andersson had his worst game of the season last night. I'm ok with Stone drawing in.

I am cheering for a shutdown defensive game where it does not matter how Smith plays, seems like the safest path to victory.

So add Peluso for Hathaway gets us a lot slower and marginally less offensive. Done to get tougher I guess and maybe more fresh on a back to back?

Add Smith and the goaltending gets markedly worse. They want to give Smith a way to work himself out of his age I guess. And back to back reasons

Sub Stone in for Andersson and the Defense moves the puck worse. Maybe teach Rasmus a lesson and get a fresh body out there because of the back to back.

Not sure there's a direct game benefit to be had here.

Bonus for us is EK has been downright terrible with SJ thus far. 7 assists and a -11. In a contract year no less, guy is playing his way out of big dollars.

I've got a few ideas that involve "cement" and "Smith", but they have nothing to do with him playing backup.

E.Karlsson has yet to score a goal for the Sharks.

So, yeah. That will probably happen.

Why do we think Peluso is in for Hathaway? I haven’t seen that anywhere and Hathaway had a great game last night.

Hathaway has been fighting an injury which is why Peluso was initially called up. Looks like he may have tweaked it again.

I'm going to guess that Smith's leash is very short tonight. if he struggles early, I think he gets pulled.

I don't see any reason to sub Stone in for Andersson other than Stone needing to play. I personally thought Andersson looked good last night, just like he has pretty much the whole season thus far. Also, his numbers back up what I thought I saw because they are positive relative to his teammates across the board (http://naturalstattrick.com/game.php...019&game=20252).

do or die for smith tonight. I think this is a ####ty scenario for him though, considering the mental game has been his biggest weakness this season. I'm sure the nerves are just killing him right now.
