Does anybody know if there will be a RCAF fly-by at kickoff?
For some reason I think it has been at WF's in the past, but I'm not sure.
I re-watched last year's West final yesterday (it was on TSN2) and there was a fly-by just prior to kick-off. I for one hope we have another fly-by on Sunday.

Home teams have had a decided advantage of late when it comes to the division finals, riding an 8-0 run. The last win by a visiting team came in 2013, when the Ticats and Roughriders both won on the road
That 2013 Riders win was an abomination by the Stamps with all the fumbles and dropped passes. One of their all-time worst playoff performances at home.

I grew up in the era of dominant Eskimo teams and rather lousy Stamps teams. The Stamps finally started to get better and then finally we had the year of Barrett's long throw to Pee Wee Smith for the win in Edmonton to go to the Grey Cup.
All those years of wondering how we would ever get by Edmonton really cemented the Western Final as the pinnacle sporting event of the year for me. I don't live in Calgary anymore but when the Stamps are in the Western final, I care deeply.
Losing in the Grey Cup is awful, and last year was just gut wrenching, but playing in the Western Final at home is a beautiful thing.

Do you remember equipment manager (Hopkins?) covering Lloyd Fairbanks with a towel on the sidelines because he couldn’t watch the final defensive stand after this touchdown?

My dad passed away a couple of years ago, but I remember watching that game with him and both of us jumping for joy when Barrett found Pee Wee for that TD. It's a great memory, thanks CC.
