Out Hamilton, Fox. In Mantha and Nyquist. And I’m not trading Jankowski!

Hamilton to DET for Mantha, Athanasiou and Vegas 1st.....MAYBE
That's only if Hamilton wants to be moved, and nobody can beat that offer.
Doesn't help the lack of right shots, but helps with legitimate depth up front.

Not my fault you undervalue Dougie Hamilton and badly. If BT traded Hamilton straight up for Mantha that would come close to trumping the Gilmour deal as the worst deal in franchise history.

I think there needs to be room for Foo, Mangiapane and Anderson and possibly a spot for either Valimaki or Kylington.
To accomplish this, I would like to see Brouwer, Brodie and Stone shipped out along and bring in a top 6 RW and some pics.
Gaudreau/Monahan/Acquisition
Tkachuk/Backlund/Foo
Bennett/Jankowski/Ferland
Mangiapane/Lazar/Frolik
Shore/Hathaway
Gio/Hamilton
(Kulak/Valimaki/Kylington)/Hamonic
(Kulak/Valimaki/Kylington)/Anderson
Likely UFA for 7th D
Smith
Rittich/Gillies

Could it not be something in the middle?
I actually don't mind the concept of Mantha for Hamilton as I think Mantha is a pure sniper first and foremost. But he's also a flawed player and Hamilton overall is a more rare commodity.
So i think an adder wouldn't be out of the question. Not a 1st or top prospect but a second tier prospect or 2nd round pick seems about right to me.

No, IMO it's needs to be a lot more than that.

I think given where the Wings are in their re-build and their MO, they are unlikely to add a prospect or high pick.
Tough to see a fit.

Yeah I agree, although Dougie is a young potential corner stone D who should be around long enough for their rebuild. That's why I don't think the Flames should deal him unless he's asked for it, or someone overpays significantly.

Schwartz - Jankowski - Gaudreau
Tkachuk - Monahan - Riley Nash
Dube - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Shore - Hathaway
Lomberg/Lazar
Foo 1st call up
Giordano - Hamilton
Kulak - Hamonic
Andersson - Stone
Washed up vet who likes popcorn
Valimaki 1st call up
Smith

Brodie and Bennett to St. Louis along with whatever picks and prospects they ask for, other than Valimaki.
Brouwer bought out with the money that should have gone to AV or Sutter.

This is a player I could have seen BT targeting anyways, but with Peters looking likely to be named head coach, I almost feel like it's a slam dunk as he played for Peters in Carolina the last 3 seasons, and also played for Peters in Spokane for the Chiefs way back when.
C - Derek Ryan
31 years old, 5'11 - 170 lbs
31 years old, but not a ton of miles on the ole chassis.
He's from Spokane, and went to the U of A for 4 years, so a move back out west could be in the cards.
He's a depth C, can skate well and seemed to be a favorite of Peters in Carolina. He's scored 11 goals and 15 goals the last two years, with around 15 minutes of ice time per game.
He's a right hand shot.
He got 60% O-zone starts, s he's not a defensive specialist but he has strong Corsi and Fenwick numbers (54.4% CF% / 2.3% CF% Rel - 52.9% FF% / 1.5% FF% Rel)
He's also a face off wizard with a 56.1% career face off percentage.

He also got premium PP time when he had no business being on it. Unless you want Derek Ryan bumping Sean Monahan on the PP I would pass.

That's a big meh on Derek Ryan. we already picked up Shore who has a better all around game and is more physical. If were adding right shots just to add right shots make it an actual top6 RW

He was 8th in powerplay ice time per game for forwards on the Carolina roster.
He was behind Aho, Teravainen, Lindholm, Staal, Williams, Rask and Skinner.
That's not "premium PP time".

Just going by what Canes fans said on HFboards, they said he was on 1st PP unit this year.

Well the actual ice time says otherwise I guess.
Looks like the only D used on either PP for any significant time was Faulk. Hanifin with the 10th most time on the PP of any Canes player.
I'm assuming that means with the Canes, Peters liked to use 4 forwards and 1 D on their PP. Anyways time will tell.
I still think Ryan could be a decent depth add. He's not like Brouwer at all. He plays center, can skate, he's got good possession numbers, actually scores goals, can win face offs and last but not least, won't cost $4.5 million against the cap.
Either way, was just pointing out that I could see this guy getting signed, as he's clearly got a long history with Peters, and it would appear Peters gave him a chance in the NHL and he ran with it.

Hamilton, Brouwer, Kulak, Shinkaruk and Fox traded to ARI for Domi, OEL and 2nd (ARI needs cap help so Brouwer included)

If you read this forum, you'd think Brouwer was on the first unit all year and not for 11 games.
