We don't have an elite #1 - but we do have a great top pairing.

Oliver Kylington ranks 13th in Goals Above Replacement this season.

Tanev ranks 18th.

As a pair they are a top 10 pairing in the league according to most advanced metrics.

Hanifin also ranks 26th, and Andersson 37th.

Forward is by far the biggest need on this team right now. And I agree if we are seeing Monahan return closer to what he was in 2018-2019, then I think center can become less of a priority and we can focus on the wing.

That was a slam wham bam game! Wow. My father always enjoys seeing the Flames beat the Blues. He always makes references to the 1986 series.
