this made me laugh:

In Finland, is “Mikko Mikkola” like “John Johnson”?

The chemistry they are forming is really impressive. Glad Sutter put the best 3 forwards on a line.
More than putting the best three players on a line, this is what happens when you give a line a long enough stretch together to form that kind of "no look" chemistry between them.

We've been juggling our top players between lines for years. This is the first year in who knows how long one has remained untouched for the whole season.

Love the ATL Reports -- especially after a big win! Much appreciated Gaskal!

The post-game presser was classic Sutter. Not much praise to be shared other than a little kudos to the top line. Stresses they still need more.

He's not wrong.

I find this surprising:

Flames are now just behind the Oilers (who are 10th) in Goals For Per Game.

On the other side, Flames are 4th in Goals Allowed Per Game, while the Oilers are 26th.

The oilers are not a benchmark and the flames will be better once they internalize that

But this is also hilarious, “juggernaut” oilers and “struggle to score 200 goals” flames side by side in that regard

Every season should have at least a couple of games like this one. Just to keep the hopes alive. What an euphoric game this was to watch!

As a fan I want to see Johnny break 100 pts,
As a fan of the Flames I also don't want him to.

Except for Boston and Anaheim.

When I saw the score after 2, my first thought was how many Blues are missing this game due to injury and Covid. Looks like they had one hell of a party watching Football yesterday.

Nice to get the big win like this, hopefully the team get's on a bit of a roll here and can get into a groove now that they're back in the league.

Sutter is a beauty. Never too high after a win, never too low after a loss, and always talking about the areas where they still need improvement. Love having this guy as our coach again.

Anaslime doesn't have fans. They are pretenders who show up late, leave early. I used to go to ####s games when I lived in socal. Free tix of course.

Tre is on pace to pay an arm and a leg. I'm glad they're both playing like all-stars this season. Hopefully they will still be Flame all-stars for the next 8 years.

What an enjoyable romp!

I’m really happy for Monahan. I thought he had another strong game, and yet again got rewarded for it. Awesome to see, and I hope the good times for 23 keep coming!

After back to back efforts nearing 50 shots, Flames 2nd in the league in shots for, second only to the Panthers, whom they just walloped 5-1 and out-shot.
