I can't believe it has been five months since we visited Switzerland and as I look at these pictures again, I realize how much I love it there.
This is a shot of the Lower Grindelwald Glacier. We hiked the trail from Pfingstegg to Baregg.
The Baroness leading the way back toPfingstegg. Grindelwald sits at the valley floor.

the following are from last week out in the Muskoka's. Spoiler'd only because there are a few of them and don't want to bomb the thread.

I'm new to flickr so I'm not sure how to shrink them up a bit yet.

Use the share button, the little arrow swooping right, then select BBcode. Choose what size you'd like to post then copy the long link and simply paste it, no (IMG) (/IMG) etc needed. Fiddle with the size option to get the best fit.
Love that first photo by the way, what a crazy amount.

Thanks.
Yeah, it was an insane amount of ducks. There seems to be a lot of large flocks of ducks and geese hanging around this year, but this one took the cake. It reminded me of a locust invasion.
I'm disappointed the foreground birds were out of focus, rather than the background in that second one. It could have been a good picture too had I done it right.

I think it's gone unnoticed by the general public, but duck and goose populations have exploded.
The daily hunting limit for migratory birds are:
8 ducks per day, plus
8 Canada geese per day, plus
50 snow geese per day
amongst other limits.
those are great photos of the amount of birds that migrate through Alberta each year. Well done.

I got dragged to Heritage Park this past weekend, without any snow the "Christmas Village" is pretty underwhelming. Also shooting photos at high-noon is frustrating.
