False. It never means that in WILL be more, it just means that it CAN.
Btw, still guessing that it’s 4-5 games.

What is the difference between a telephone hearing and an in-person hearing?
If the Department of Player Safety determines that any Supplemental Discipline from an infraction will result in five games or less or a fine of more than $5,000, the hearing is conducted by phone.
If the infraction might require a suspension of six games or more, the offending Player is offered the opportunity to an in-person hearing. In this case, the Player remains suspended until the hearing takes place. If the Player waives his right to an in-person hearing, the hearing will be conducted by phone.

Still a wheel of justice, but it seems black and white from the NHL.

I don’t get it were you trying to prove my point for me?
An in person hearing gives them the opportunity to suspend for over 5 games. They could still decide 1 game if they really wanted.

Maybe for a phone hearing, but an in person hearing I can't see that happening. The only reason this is under 5 games is because of the NHL random playoff to regular season conversation that they use.

Has there ever been an in person hearing that has gone that way? I can not think of any.

I think 5, repeat offender.
I hope it's the remainder of the playoffs.

I've never seen it either - I was using an extreme which, if you ask, they would have to admit is a possibility.

Quick google shows Dimitry Kulikov had an in person hearing and was assessed 4 games. I can try to look back further . I mean yes in person usually means your in deep ####. But it is not automatically 5 or more. It just puts that amount or more on the table.

I'd like to see him get the playoffs... I have zero time for the way he plays the game. He's a punk.

Wilson got an in person hearing for his pre-season hit on Blais in 2017 and got four games.

Could the league suspend him for the series? It wouldn’t put a set number of games but would be between 3-5 games. Not sure if they can do that though?
