Don't know the final numbers but I bet Smith ended the game with a good save %. On 6 goals.

Really? We are putting “refs 2” in the thread title.
That’s a bad look for flames fans from lurkers or visitors to the site.
Flames were dominated tonight. Did some calls suck? Sure, but the result wasn’t changing.

More clown is needed.
To those who toned down the booze...... time to find the next gear. Bottoms up folks.
What a game. Yuck.

Earlier this season I used to get excited when Johnny turned and started skating with the puck in the neutral zone, because you just knew he was gonna make something happen. Right now I just know he's gonna cross the blueline and give the puck to an opponent every single time. He has some stuff to figure out.

Our best players need to start playing well, let alone be our best players.

I want to have a new and bold attitude after this loss, one that reflects what I saw on the ice tonight in the first period, because I literally did this when I heard the buzzer

They need to remember that the Avs should be scared of them. Too much trying to defend. They really should trust each other more and start driving the play rather than just reacting to whatever MacKinnon does. It's the same thing we see with McDavid all the time: just makes them play scared.

Only game 3, but I think that was series. That's three straight games where the Flames haven't played good, and tonight was the exclamation point.
Their top players are vastly outplaying the Flames top players. And to think that all of the sudden the Flames are gonna actually play good, when they haven't since the All-Star break is like expecting the Oilers to finally have a competent front office. It isn't gonna happen.
GG hockey is back.

He’s doing the GG hockey thing. Turn back after crossing

We got worked boys. Officiating was bad, no doubt, but we got taken to the woodshed tonight. I honestly thought a different team would walk out of that dressing room after the 1st but it just didn't happen. They have a small window to figure this out. Figure it the #### out!

Gaudreau, lindholm, Monahan aren't going to just start clicking after losing their game since feb.
Avs have deservedly taken all momentum but more importantly, their game plan has shown the flames have ZERO answer.
Not looking good.
I out this on Peter's, bad coaching coming into the game and throughout the 60 mins.

Embarrassing that you're blaming the refs. That was an old school hockey beat-down by the Avs.

Smith and Bennett. Does anyone else care? Maybe a bit of Gio and Hamonic.
Next game is it. The Flames can't play much worse, but can they play the same as tonight? Will the top line show up? Will the Flames give up less than 50 shots? So many questions.
So weird how this team just flicked a switch and decided to do the exact opposite of what they did all year. Like.........why?
And sorry, bu the refs were absolutely horrible tonight. They weren't the difference, they were just absolutely horrid. Both should not ref again in the playoffs.
