I was never a big Pulp/Jarvis Cocker fan but I saw him at Clockenflap last year and he killed it. Sounded amazing but he is legitimately funny. Like if he wasn't a rock star he could be a comedian. The stuff he would say in between songs was incredible.

And his lyrics are brilliant.

Glastonbury is this weekend. I’ve watched a few of the performances but Idles has been the most powerful so far. You can tell it’s a dream come true for them to be on that stage.

Edit: I should add a song from Danny Nedelko’s band, Heavy Lungs.

I ordered this and the "Libertine" reissue and got my records this week. "In The West" is so good.

I was just thinking the other day: What is it with Canada and Bass and Drum duos? *Note, this is not Drum & Bass which is an entirely different genre. This seemed to start in the mid 90's and lasted through the early 2000s. Notable groups were The Inbreds, Duotang, and later, Death From Above 1979. Not sure why Canada cornered the market on this unique arrangement of rock music. If anyone has any insights on this phenomenon, please share. In the meantime, relive this strange, but great, era.

Might just be a quirk with the Cancon era and 90s alternative overlapping.

There's a couple bass & drum duos these days. Royal Blood and 21 Pilots.

I caught a re-run of Austin City Limits tonight featuring Bon Iver from 2012. His self-titled album is still a masterpiece. I can't believe how amazing it is to see live, as the scope and power of the music comes through much more on stage. Still has one of my favorite songs of all time on it.

Brushy One String is a living legend. It’s sad to see him reduced to a meme.
