Default Tyler Toffoli is about to have a career year

Get ready for the Huberdeau effect.

Toffoli barely played with Gaudreau last season.

Doubt it, but it would be nice to see him return to being an effective player

I'd wager 30-30=60 easily if he's on the top line.

But does he play PP1? Huberdau - Lindholm - Mangiapane - Kadri - Anderson/Hannafin/Weegar would be my guess. Maybe Kadri plays 2nd PP w/ Backlund - Dube - Milano?

Lots of scoring chances come from special teams and I don't know where he's going to fit.

Dobberhockey has Toffoli as the #1 sleeper pick for the year, NHL Fantasy Network has him top 10.

I can see him surpassing 30+30 no doubt. I think closing in on 70 is a real possibility.

He made a comment too in his interview, something along the lines of this is the greatest he's felt in an off season in like 4 years. Happy to have a full training camp and train properly over the summer.

We're gonna need a better goal song this season for him.

At his age? Extremely doubtful.

He scored over a 40 goal pace the season before last so I don't think speed matters with him

I think too much has been made of Toffolis footspeed. It hasn't stopped him from being a good player. And to be fair to him, last year he looked completely gassed more than anything. He'll, his 1st Flames goal was all about speed. Dude played a ton of hockey the last few years. Humans are bound to get tired performing at such a high level for so long.

I suspect this offseason has been good for him to rest, heal, hit the gym and fill up the tank.

The fact that you’re still hanging on to that little bit of hope and continuously bringing up the “40 goal pace” to attempt to back up and support your love affair with Toffoli is still the most hilarious thing I’ve seen on here.

Come on man, you know Toffoli can score 40 but Tkachuk can’t score 100 again

Seriously, Toffoli is a 20 goal scorer. 30 goals on a good year if his shots are going in. Speed is definitely a problem. Guys like him and Neal and Monahan are finished when their shots are no longer working.

Huberdeau can certainly make him better than he is. Hopefully he can have another career year

Temper the expectations. It’s his job to lose. If he doesn’t play well Mangiapane will take the top RW spot at ease.

I didn’t click. Is this another “best shape of my life” training camp cliche?

Yes being a positive fan and trying to be excited about pieces we have is… “hilarious”.
