Adam Klapka aka AK-43
If he continues to utilize his Klapka wall in front of the net & stellar play so far and into the training camp, what’s the likelihood to see him in the regular season lineup?
By then, let’s change his jersey number to 47 aka AK-47

I suspect he gets a full year in the AHL before any NHL games. He is an intriguing prospect, but he is going to need development time. I think he is a good prospect though and well worth the flyer that the Flames are taking on him.

I like him, but he needs at least a couple of years in the AHL.
Let him develop at his own pace
Wearing 47 would be badass though

Klapka is this year's Walker Duehr. Impresses in rookie camp and pre-season. Brings a lot of size, and adequate skill. Yet, we will see the same thing as with Duehr. AHL fodder that has an outside shot at a cup of coffee in the NHL, and not much more.
Still, he is intriguing, and I wonder what he looks like with a full season in the minors. Could be worth keeping an eye on. Don't expect anything in the NHL this year.

Really need to temper expectations with this guy. He's huge, an older prospect, and has played pro hockey already — of course he dominated in Penticton.
We need to see a lot more.

He actually produced pretty well for a player his age playing in the Czech League. When he was interviewed, he described himself as a defensive player first.

He looked great at the tournament, one of their most effective players. Plays with energy, moves well, and has good hands. Hopefully the Flames have plucked another gem from the Czech league

He definitely has 2 things that Sutter likes: Size and Physicality. Still early to pencil him in on the team though, let's see how he does. Smart money is on him spending time in the minors to marinate.
And yeah, for the love of God- change his number to 47!

"Wall in front of the net" is mostly a power play thing, and I can't imagine he gets that role in the NHL any time soon. To really do that job you also have to be an excellent puck tipper and be quick on rebounds.

He'll be a Wrangler fan favorite. Maybe make an appearance with the big club, but that depends on many factors.

Its going to be a treat to have the AHL club in Calgary. I'll be getting tickets just to see AK47.
