I don't think I ever played the Suikodens despite hammering everything else in that genre including Mystic Quest lol.
Was it the game with like 100 playable characters?
Yes! Probably not super necessary to get them all though unless you really want to. My first two playthroughs of both games in the 90's I was never able to get them all. Last year I played through both games again on my Android tablet and used a guide to get all 108 lol

Been playing a lot and really enjoying Across the Obelisk the last few weeks.
"Across the Obelisk is a coop RPG deckbuilding roguelite. Play solo or with your friends, choose your heroes, unlock items and cards, craft your deck and face powerful enemies in deep tactical combat."
The deckbuilding part is a bit understated, first few playthroughs will be fairly unforgiving as you unlock more cards, learn what works and what doesn't. Once you have some decent cards & synergies available, and characters start to level up, you can customize decks for some more rewarding gameplay.
Difficulty sure ramps up through the 2nd & 3rd acts, makes it more rewarding when plans pay off, but sure can be punishing when it doesn't.
It's also multiplayer which is neat though I haven't tried it myself, only watched some videos of people doing it.
If you're into deckbuilding/roguelite games I'd say at least throw it on your steam wishlist to keep an eye out for a sale!

Put that one on my wishlist. I got big into deck building games after playing Slay The Spire and Monster Train on Gamepass, hopefully this one get some kind of discount on the next Steam sale
Star Citizen, a video game that exists as a Forever Promise, was first revealed to the world back in 2012 via a Kickstarter campaign that raised $2.1 million. In the decade since, through the announcements of spin-offs, modules, in-game economies and countless other features and half-baked ideas, the game seems no closer to an actual release.
One thing it has accomplished, though, is make some money. Lots of money. As pointed out earlier today in this Reddit post, the game’s official “funds raised” tracker on its website just ticked over the $500 million mark. At time of posting it stands at $500,089,473 raised, from 4,096,539 backers.

as for my fight to get a PS5, I hope my wait is coming to an end. There was a drop at Amazon Germany today, and even though I was ready (thanks to an alert app), I couldn't get one. But Amazon UK had a drop a bit later and I was able to snatch one ... and even with import fees, that one is actually a bit cheaper than the one from Germany. So if all goes well with the import stuff (and I've done this a few times before, there should be no issues), I should finally have one next week or so. Fingers crossed.
it's here! UPS has done absolutely everything in their power to frustrate me, but I finally picked it up today. Can't wait to fire it up for the first time later today.

Modern Warfare 2 open beta is up. Normally not too interested in CoD multiplayer but the beta has a 64 player capture the points type mode, so gave it a try.
Man I'm even worse at these games than I used to be, I have no idea how I'd ever unlock better gear.

As I get older I find I get worse and worse at any of the high speed twitchy shooters
Tarkov is definitely more my speed, I suck at CoD now

Yep. I've been struggling at Metal Hellsinger because you have to shoot with the beat for optimal damage which is not easy in a fast paced Doom-like game with monsters coming at you from all angles. Meanwhile my 14 year old son is breezing through it. I still can't believe I managed to get to the final boss of Sekiro with my old man hands.

CoD is still fun but the rampant cheating in Warzone is just devastating to the game.
I play with a mixed group of 8 or 9 guys and some are really good down to me where I can sometimes kill people. And even the guys with no kids who sink 100's of hours in got fed up with the cheating and stopped playing.
I know they've tried to fix it a few times, but it doesn't work..

I used to think that Sekiro was the hardest game I played and then I tried Nioh 2 this weekend. Holy crap, I need to practice. I'm getting better but the combat is so fast and punishing and has many more mechanics than Soulsbournes. I love the aesthetic though so it's definitely a game I want to keep trying to improve at.
