Location: Oklahoma - Where they call a puck a ball...
Exp:
My name is Nick (but my last name isn't Jones). Growing up my favorite ball player was Chipper Jones. I wore all the same stuff he did on the field and even changed my batting stance & swing to mimic his. Cheesy I know. Anyway one day in high school I walked into class late and a cheerleader said " Hey look.. its NickerJones." and it stuck.
The name of my first world of warcraft character, it seemed more appropriate for a Tauren Shaman, but since then I've come to regard it as a pretty stupid username.
Way way back in the 1990s when I would prowl around #Calgary/#Calgarypunk on DalNet and EfNet I was PsychoKid, because I was an edgy 13 year old you see.
Then I tried to sign up for a forum in like 1998 and they only allowed 7 character names (like, really?) so it became PsYcNeT (PsychoKid on the Internet), in alternating caps because it was the 90s.

I used to play StarCraft online some 20 years ago under some other stupid nickname that I can't remember. I was always trying to produce flying units as fast as possible, but it's a very high risk/high reward strategy and whether I succeeded or not was always purely up to chance. Hence I adopted the nickname crapshoot accordingly. It also came with the added bonus that the word crapshoot is sometimes percieved to mean something along the lines of a**hole. The nickname has just stuck with me ever since.
Calgary Puck was the first on line forum that I ever signed up for. It asked for a user name, I had no idea and a commercial for Captain Crunch cereal came on, and I was a big hitter in football and hockey so it worked.
Thank god is wasn't a commercial for Special K or Rice Krispies.
When I joined the Flames had a 2nd round pick that played for my hometown team (Tim Ramholt).
I'd routinely post updates as to his play.
I am from and live in the Maritimes.
Local hockey team is in the QMJHL.
I gave Scouting reports.
Maritime Q~Scout.
The tilda is because it's an underrated character that I kind of like. Because I'm odd, I often sign my emails "~ Ben" which is doubly odd as my name isn't Ben.

My name is Mike, and I own a comic store named Phoenix Comics. When I signed up for IRC in the mid 90s, I tried to make my user name mikephoenix, but IRC had a nine character cap on usernames, so it got truncated to mikephoen. For some reason, I've just continued to use that for my online activities ever since.
In my head, it's pronounced 'mikefeen', but everyone I've ever met who saw this online has thought it was pronounced 'mike phone'.
I've probably met you. I make a fair amount of stops and spend a fair amount of money at melodiya. Are you guys technically one business?
My name is Alex, and I think Alex is usually taken most places I sign up so I use Aleks almost exclusively, either on its own or with a few numbers of my badge number in it....Easy to remember.
Favourite colour is black and I was fascinated by supernova explosions. As for the random letters being capitalized...I really have no clue why I did that lol
