I bought an Echo Plus with a Phillips Hue bulb for $134.99. The last few weeks when Google Home and the lower priced Echo's were on sale, the Plus wasn't. I think the bulb and Plus would be a regular total of $224.98 MSRP combined.

The best deals this year (I found) were the Meguiars and Chemical Guys car products that went on sale later yesterday.
They had some ridiculous deals on Torq polisher kits (polisher, pads, products for sub $150, insanity).
Other than that I got a Bonavita Coffee maker, pretty stoked for that.

What do you mean "outside the shipping"? The shipping is pretty much the whole point. That's like asking "outside the TV channels, is it worth it to have cable?"

ALL ABOARD!

Music is meh if you have Spotify or Apple Music. Video is slightly better. Some of the originals are great (Man in the High Castle, American Gods) and they have some decent exclusives.
The shipping is definitely worth the $80 year. 1 and 2 day shipping is crazy.
I do have some issues with the amount of packaging we receive because of it.

I bought dog poop baggies and a couple amazon knock-off moleskine books. Good times over here.

I save at least that much per year on free shipping, plus a few other deals that come up.

You can also sign up your daughter for students. They get a free 6 month trial and it's 50% off so $40 a year. If you buy a lot off amazon, it's worth it. We use one account between three families... except I foot the bill

Picked up a dash cam. But, overall, Prime Day is little more than a clearance sale.
And I won't be keeping Prime after the 30 days either. Don't order nearly enough for it to be worth it.

Yeah I use my free prime once a year and that's it, other times of the year I just plan ahead for my order wait the week for it to show up.

I should have bought the Game of Thrones seasons 1-7 box set for $90 but forgot to checkout last night. Now it's back to $180.
I blew it.

FYI, keepa is an awesome extension that integrates price tracking right on the Amazon page so you can see a price graph of new/used/Amazon/lighting deal prices. It's like camelcamelcamel, but without any extra work.

I share a Prime membership with 6 other people, and we set up an ebates account initially just for Amazon. On volume alone, we make more than enough from ebates to cover the annual cost.
I definitely order a lot more than before now that I have free shipping on even everyday products.
I do feel a little guilty though, as I can't imagine on-line shopping in general being good for the environment. Just shipping waste in fuel and packaging material is pretty bad. But hey, I guess people also maintain lawns, which are also bad for the environment.
