Then Meh
Out of that grouping of players, you're hoping that one or two turns into an Eat Bread or Phillips. MEP has the highest raw skill of pretty much all of the Flames forward prospects.

While Foo had a good finish to last season, he is 24 years old and needs to do something this year. Is it true that the cut-off for the prospect rankings is 25 years old, so he won't even be in consideration next year? I think a lot of the younger guys likely have a higher ceiling so it's Gillies for me.

In my opinion you can consider a 25, even 26 year old, a prospect under certain circumstances. Reason Quine, Graovac, etc don't fit the bill is their NHL experience. They were semi regulars for a year or two

Both for me are in the meh category.
Gawdin is a great junior player. How will that translate. We have seen other guys who dominated juniors only to be just a depth AHL guy. I don't feel that he'll be more than a quality AHLer. He's the one that I need to see at the A level to get a better read on frankly. If he gets off to a good start and puts up 25+ points then he'll ascend into this might be a useful bottom six type guy at the NHL level type prospect. Where he goes is all up to him. He has the raw intelligence on the ice to surprise. Just have to wait and see if he's more of an org guy which are interchangeable or if he'll put things together to become a valuable player.
Joly's skill set didn't really stand out a ton at the dev camp, which is the only time I've seen him in person. All the other guys on my list did do certain things that jumped out. like Gawdin, have to wait and see how his season goes.
Both guys would be tops of the meh list.

Certainly not suggesting he's a top prospect, just surprised he didn't make your extensive list with others.

I keep missing these votes because they happen so rapidly in succession.
Any chance we could space them out a bit more (once every other day?), or maybe sticky them at the top of the forum?
Also - does anyone know if you can vote from within the Taptalk mobile app? I do check this forum several times daily, but almost always from my tablet.

If I put them up every second day the inmates would riot!

Close enough for a runoff except with ~90% of the vote already on one or the other, I'm not sure how much difference it would make.
Maybe a clearer victor will emerge before days end.

Checked this morning and Gilles was ahead by a bit..
I'm smelling a run off.

Looks like run off isn't needed? Foo the winner in my mind.

Foo ahead by 10 votes.
Only 35 votes that did not vote for either.
So of those 35 votes (assuming no one else changes their mind) Gilles would need 25/35 to catch up.
Call it a tie maybe but I'm thinking a runoff would be futile.
