Dude I quickly scanned the article but it was light on detail. It referred to approval of a renovation proposal. I had heard there was a financing element to the plan. I will go back and look again.

Basically OVG is responsible for the renovation and the area surrounding areas including 2 parking garages and at least 40 million for transportation around the area. The city is guaranteed 2.4 million annually and if the taxes dont cover that then OVG has pledged to make up the costs.
I was only ribbing ya not trying to be an ass. Just comes natural.

Jugo Juice. From a friend with a slight connection to the team. But we all have slight connections, right? Probably just one of many stories out there. But if you were to compile a list of possible local interest, Shaws seem like a logical addition.

It helps in Seattle when you have two groups that want to build arenas in very different areas of town. From what I have read most people preferred the SODO option and there is a lot of complaining about city council getting paid off to approve this option.

If they announce something in July, it likely means that the flames aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The entire point of shafting QC in the expansion bid was to have them as a soft relocation spot in the east. If the Hurricanes move they're not going cross-conference.

Quebec wasn't shafted. Nobody in town was willing to put up $500 million.

Didn't bother reading through all of the other pages, but does this mean that AZ might have to move to the Central division?

Well... unless they can move to Seattle. But yes... assuming expansion they'd be the most logical team to swap divisions. They're not going to separate Calgary and Edmonton nor are they gonna put a team on West Coast time in the Central.

Either LV or ARZ moves to the Central, but if Seattle gets an expansion team by 2020-21 I would assume that Arizona would be relocated to Houston by then (who would be in the central division).
Exciting times for the NHL. I wonder whose in and whose out by that time:
SEA via expansion and 32nd team.
ARZ to HOU via relocation and remains in the west (division swap)
CAR and/or FLA to Quebec City and/or KC via relocation and stays in the East (metro division for KC maybe?)
Regardless, the current NHL owners are going to be a ton of money via expansion and relocation fees in the next 5-10 years.

Reading between the lines, I think they talked a big game, until it was time to actually write a check for 500M. I could be wrong though.
