By all reports Parsons had an amazing game tonight.

Knights playing against the top offense in the OHL, the Errie Otters (Strome, Raddysh, DeBrincat, Cireli, Fogelle, etc). Both the Otters and Knights were playing for 1st place in the Western Conference with this game.

The Otters managed to win 5-3 by scoring a goal in the last 40 seconds and an insurance goal in the last second, but the heroics of Parsons kept this game close. 5 saves on 46 shots. London only had 21 shots.

Parsons named 1st star of the game

Phillips with 2G 1A vs the Giants tonight. Has now tied his last season goal tally with 37 goals in 23 less games. Now 1 goal behind WHL goal scoring leader.

I think this kid will be a nhler. I liked him before the draft, and like him more now. Speed, tenacity, skill, IQ. Reminds me of Versteeg, and I think will be a good scoring 3rd liner one day.

Parsons is so hot right now.

2nd shutout in 3 games, could have had 3 straight shutouts

Only has allowed 1 goal on 84 shots in his last 3 games.

Feb 10:

Parsons did not dress tonight as he took a puck in a sensitive spot during Tuesday's practice. Doesn't appear to be serious and apparently precautionary as he posted a picture of himself with his gf on instagram about an hour ago looking healthy. For goalies that have played more than 10 games, Parsons in 2nd in GAA and 2nd in sv% for the OHL
26gp 2.25gaa .926sv% 17w 4l 2otl 3sol

Riley Bruce has a shoulder injury incurred on Jan 15 and is not expected to be back in the lineup until March.
41gp 1g 4a 6pts -5 58pim

Nick Schneider made 19 saves on 21 shots in a 7-2 blowout win over Calgary. It sounded like he was close to getting pulled after he allowed 2 goals in the first 2:51 of the game, but as you can tell from the score he bounced back and shut the door for the rest of the game.
43gp 3.33gaa .890sv% 29w 10l 1otl 0sol

Tuulola had a power play goal in a 2-1 loss to Brandon. It is his first goal in 13 games and has only 4 pts in those 13 games which includes 1 game he had 3 assists. He has been streaky this season, and some will suggest it is because he is still adapting to North America. I think he needs at least another year in junior.
43gp 12g 11a 23pts -1 20pim

Dube had 0pts in a 6-0 win over Vancouver.
23gp 8g 18a 26pts +9 30pim

Phillips has 1g in a 2-1 shootout win over Kamloops. Unfortunately Phillips wasn't able to keep pace with the other scoring leaders in the WHL and has fallen behind a little bit in the offensive rankings but still respectable. He is now 5th in goals, 12th in points, 9th in +/-, and 7th in PPG for the WHL.

Tuulola apparently scored a highlight reel goal, to give the Tips a 2-0 lead. In the words of their PBP guy:

Wow, Eetu.

Tuulola's goal

Spoiler!

Not as pretty as I was led to believe but still nice, Tuulola finishes off a nice tic tac toe passing play

Another goal for Philips and a +2 in a 5-4 losing effort. His goal came at 19:59 of the 1st period - he's tied for 2nd in the league in goals with 41 -- two behind the leaders who both have 43.

Dube had a tough night; he was a -3 and had no points in a losing effort

Tuulola opened the scoring and finished with 1 goal and a +1 in a winning effort

It looked like Tuulola scored the OT goal in a 3-2 win over Swift Current, but the official scoring doesn't credit him with the goal.

Phillips scored his 42nd goal of the season in a 4-1 win over Kootenay.

Schneider made 14 saves on 17 shots in a 7-4 win. Schneider was pulled after he let in the 3rd goal 4:43 into the 3rd

Dube had 1 assist in a 5-2 win.

The Tigers traded for Portlands back up goalie at the start of January and hes taken the starters job away from Schneider

Victoria is playing Vancouver tonight on Sportsnet.

The Royals are currently up 1-0 about halfway through the first. Phillips had an assist on the goal.

Phillips finds the quiet area and puts one home to make it 4-2 Royals. Great instincts.

Nick Schneider and the tigers won 5-4 last night - Schneider had 36 saves on 40 shots.

Tuulola was quiet in a 4-1 win.

Dube kept up his hot streak with a goal and an assist with a +2 in another blowout 8-2 win.

Phillips finished with 1 goal and 2 assists in a 6-4 win.

All these guys are back in action tonight! Phillips is just 1 goal behind the league leader!!
