Kind of Surprised the Preds are ranked 26th in vue. Thought theyd be ranked a bit higher.

Good to hear that the buyer is from Tennessee and would likely not have any intentions on moving the team. They seem to have a very loyal fanbase.

Any move would need to be approved by Bettman and the other owners anyway and I don't think they'd get approval given the fan base they've developed there.

The only show in town as far as major league sports go, although I read a while ago that they are on the shortlist for an MLB expansion team. It wouldn't be direct competition though.

I think the Titans might be based out of Nashville too though I'm not 100% sure

Rumours of both MLB and NBA going there. Probably not both, but I guess we'll see.

This is why a guy like Jim Balsille wanted in oh so many years ago when the price was $210MM.
Brett Wilson is likely to cash out huge on his 5% stake he put into the team in 2011.

I don't think Tennessee is big enough to support two NBA teams. Especially with other underserved markets.

I'd say Nashville is a much better market than Memphis. I get your point about two teams in Tennessee, but if Alberta can handle two NHL teams I suppose Tenn can handle two NBA teams.
NBA has some weird franchise locations. Salt Lake, OKC, Sacramento, Memphis.

Me and my friends were talking about this the other day but when you go through it, there's a surprising amount.
Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Florida, (North) Carolina, New Jersey. Would be weird to have the Manitoba Jets or the BC Canucks.

New England Patriots and Golden State Warriors are the best examples from other sports.
I seem to recall the Avalanche wanted to be named Front Range or Rocky Mountain or something like that but NHL didn't like it.

Depends how the team name, imo. BC Canucks would sound weird, but BC Lions sounds excellent, it flows.
