And they keep putting the best PL games on SNWorld as well. Just shows how dire the financial situation is for SN that they need to try and force people to subscribe to that overpriced channel.

I have it and I enjoy it, its a fair bit of money but it does show the best games as well as Rugby and other sports. I like having SN World. What aggravated me before was BeIn, but that appears to be on Shaw for this season, not sure if its just a free trial though.

Thank God for an early goal in Spain/Italy.

Two early goals might be too much.

I'm flicking between the Austria and Italy matches and the Italians have not been all that good.
Its interesting, you've got two technically well matched sides in Italy and Spain and its like watching Chess match whereas with Austria and Wales its like watching two Prizefighters throwing haymakers.

If Wales-Austria draw, Serbia is 90% going to Russia directly.

Its been an interesting match but Wales and Austria are the definition of 'Young Teams.'
Austria are likely the better, deeper team but they just have a penchant for making big mistakes whereas Wales are solid and have Bale and Ramsay who can occasionally elevate the entire team and take advantage of Austria's mistakes.

Yeah, after Bale and Ramsey retire the future is looking bleak for Wales. I mean, they just don't have many talented players.
Austria is a team that always leaves you wanting more. They were one of the best teams in the past Euro qualifications, yet they totally bombed at the Euros. Did not qualify for the 2014 WC despite their talent.

In fairness they said the same thing about Giggs.
They seem to get some occasional insane talent and a whole lot of plugs.

Yeah, I was pulling for Austria but if a Liverpool player scores the winner it's hard to complain.
Sorry man.

well they've only got themselves to blame. They had an outstanding quali for the 2016 Euros, but aince then they haven't been able to fulfill their potential ever since. Disappointing.

Honestly, its like they need a change of manager. Theres talent there that appears to be underachieving, usually the kick in the ass is the cure for that.
They hit a high and then they just couldnt replicate, its not that the squad or players got too old or worse or anything, its just getting that last ounce out of them isnt happening and I wonder if the talent level of that squad has surpassed Koller.
Something has to change and it isnt the squad. There arent a plethora of talented Austrians being omitted from the squad so the management and the tactics seem like the ideal place to start.
Watching that match my take is: They have talent, but they make a lot of really pedestrian mistakes and they dont have tons of elite talent. Look at some National Teams, they've got one or two guys that are Game-Breakers and can get it done and get the points, I'd say Austria have 2...maybe 1.5. But that means that everyone else is walking the tightrope. Their game has to be perfect to afford a Game-Breaker the opportunity.
And they make way too many mistakes.

I know they're winning against Bulgaria (for the moment) but I look at that Dutch team and cringe.
Their best player is probably Arjen Robben, which wouldnt be too bad if he wasnt a million years old and always injured.
Followed by Wijnaldum, but Robben is more of a game breaker.
What happened? Where is the infamous Dutch pipeline of talent?

I'm still glad I didnt watch it. I never trust the French.
England vs. Slovakia looks like the marquee matchup tomorrow.
I'm interested to see the German lineup tomorrow but I think Low is literally pulling names out of a hat at this juncture. But when its those names its not really such a big deal.
That guy has to have the easiest job in sports, he could set his lineup with a Yahtzee cup.
"Looks like Neuer is playing striker today."
Fine...
