It's seeming like whatever decision this Mayor and Council make, it is ridiculed from both sides of the aisle. They just keep digging a larger hole every time lol, it's getting kind of hilarious. They're all going to get decimated in next election.

Hell, even a recall petition would have decent chance now! That guy should be waited hahaha

Tomorrow's update will be:

Watering by hose allowed for new plants planted between 1-23 days ago, where the planting occurred during the times of 6-8pm on weekdays in the waning moon phase.

Pressure washing of residential windows allowed only on south side windows that are triple pane and do not open to the exterior and the house is no older than 4 years.

I don’t understand why they don’t just say no watering lawns at this point. You have your published stages so either don’t deviate or if you are deviating make the rules simple.

This is much like Covid the rules don’t have to really make sense as long as they cut the number of contacts people have. So the comparison of why is this allowed but this isn’t aren’t really useful. Their just an arbitrary list that someone decided was “good” uses of the capacity.

But people will comply better when the rules make sense.

Can I water my lawn as long as I am running through the sprinkler to cool off? It’s like a pool.

It really makes no sense to me that the Stampede can roll along full tilt but the rest of the city needs to water ration.

Like, no.

I’m surprised people still care about this these days and I feel like this whole issue ended (for me anyway) about a week or two ago. Mind you I haven’t been watering my lawn but I literally don’t even think about this whole boondoggle. I didn’t even know there was still rationing going on until today. The whole event seemed a bit chicken littley.

Cancelling the Stampede would be absurd.

We just need to not water our lawns. Mine still looks 100% fine

I have never watered my lawn in my life. What a waste of time and water.

You'll listen to the experts and you will like it. They know what is best for us as a society and unfortunately sometimes you might end up with the short end of the stick.

Pressure washing residential windows always seemed like a dumb idea. Aren't you basically asking for damaging the seals and causing water damage to your home?

I have to say, if the future is just going to more stuff like this where older men get increasingly upset over minor inconveniences then I’m here for it.

You can’t buy comedy like “#### the government, I’m watering my lawn with a HOSE!”

There’s a not-insignificant number of you guys who would probably feel assaulted if you were hit with a stiff breeze.

Pressure washing windows and other exterior areas should really be done with caution but a lot depends on the exterior materials, angle of contact and the age and quality of construction.

Assembled and filled my outdoor above ground pool moments after the restriction was lifted. Enjoyed hanging out in the yard all afternoon. Oh, I also used a hose to fill the pool.
