It is a little worrying that there is no 3 on 3 now, the Oilers were 5-5 at 3 on 3 but were much better in regulation. Hopefully the Kings can pull it out.

Kings took the Oilers to 7 games last season without Doughty in the lineup so I expect this one could go either way depending on what team receives better goaltending.

Kings by mercy rule. Oilers concede the series before game 4 and ask that the remaining games not be played.

What’s with the 3 on 3 narrative? Oilers won 50 games this year and 45 were in regulation. Second most regulation wins in the league.

My gut says Oilers take this in 5, but I'm hoping to be wrong and Kings can somehow squeak this one out.

Gotta admit, once Kane was back, and they got Ekholm, the team all of a sudden got really good, which sucks to say.

Kings in 6.

The PP specialists will not look as good when PPs are harder to come by, and the refs are looking the other way at their ridiculous diving.

The Kings have played mostly even with the Oilers this year as well.

Really, really tough one to call.

May the best goalie win is the key to all of this. Skinner or Korpisalo? We’re going to have some high scoring games, and the Oilers have that edge. Ekholm has helped them out too.

We say this every year. But every year, it's clear that even in the Stanley Cup games, there is a different reffing standard for the Coilers. I think that the refs help them into the second round at the very least. Coilers in 7

I hope the Kings do the world a favor and eliminate that dumpster fire of an organization.

Even if the Oilers win the cup, they are still trash and will always be trash. Trash franchise, trash media, trash fans.

Lotta wishful thinking in here. McDavid just had the best season of any NHL player in history not named Gretzky, Lemieux, or Yzerman. And Draisaitl would have won the Hart in any other season than this one in the last 25 years. I just don't see anyone on the Kings containing those two

The season series was tied with LA out scoring Edmonton 10-9

If the Kings stay out of the box they likely win. If not, they dont have a chance.

Pretty simple. Unfortunately the refs seem to be calling the playoffs like the reg season now.

Whoops! Was watching the last game highlights while writing that. Had Sharks on the brain I guess, but doesn't change my view of the series. The Kings will be hungry for revenge, but I'm expecting the Oilers are a second or third round out again. The way the playoffs have been refereed the last few years, their offense is going to get a lot of opportunity on the powerplay.
