Quote:
Season series: The Los Angeles Kings have defeated the Calgary Flames three times this season. The Kings won 4-1 on Dec. 31 at Scotiabank Saddledome, and 2-1 on Feb. 23 and 3-0 on Mar. 31 at Staples Center. Center Anze Kopitar has a goal and three assists, and goalie Jonathan Quick has three wins with a .971 save percentage for Los Angeles. Defenceman Mark Giordano and center Sean Monahan have scored for Calgary.

Coach Darryl Sutter would not elaborate. Goalie Jhonas Enroth is expected to start. Quick played in Vancouver, stopping 21 of 24 shots. Los Angeles has lost six of eight (2-6-0).
Flames team scope: Goalie Joni Ortio will start; he made 28 saves in a 5-0 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. Forward Michael Frolik (lower body), who has missed the past three games, did not practice and is out. Goalie Kari Ramo (knee), and defencemen Ladislav Smid (neck) and Dennis Wideman (triceps) also remain out.

Meh. I would rather watch the Flames run out the season than any baseball game. I am likely in the minority here.
Flames win this one 4-3.

canucks beat the kings has 2 great benefits.
1) big 2 points in the standings for the nucks
2) an angry Kings team who won't be happy giving away points to bottom feeders back to back, especially when their in a tight race for the division title.

This GDT makes me sad. Not because of the OP, but because it pales in comparison to last year's game #81 against the Kings, which felt very much like a playoff game.

lol I'd rather watch the McDavid score a hatrick in a 6-0 Oilers win over the Flames than ever have to watch baseball

Thank you for not having the Burger King guy on today's picture. That was creepy...
I can see the kings coming out and being upset because of last night.
6-2 Flames....

BTW, this is the lineup from that game. How the hell did we win so many games last year?

We really need this loss... I can't believe the Nucks swept California, and now sit 1 spot up on us in the standings.

my wife received a pair of lower bowl tickets to this msut lose game - and for the first time ever she is taking my son (who is a big kings fan).
I was stunned that she did not flip the tickets directly over to me to take my son.
Last year, some of you may have seen my son leaving the dome crying after the kings were eliminated

is it now OK to embrace the tank with 3 games remaining? Or those 3 games going to install a 'loser culture'?

Really hoping Gaudreau can have a big game and give himself some cushion to break PPG.
Besides that I hope we lose. No shame now. 3 games left, screw it. If we can finish 4th last that's tantalizingly close to the fins...

Game 81 last year may have been my favourite regular season game ever. Eliminating the then defending champs and the ex-coach/GM at home.
The guys were playing so far over their heads with that roster. The fall back to earth was inevitable.
