Prior to San Jose scoring a garbage time power play goal with less than 4 minutes remaining in a 10-1 blow-out loss to Vancouver on Thursday, the Canucks scored more goals (10) in 2.5 periods of hockey than the Sharks had scored (9) for their entire season so far.

Not even the "debacle of monumental proportions" 2009 Oilers were that bad.

Just how much abuse can you subject an NHL fanbase to, in a non hockey market, before the floor falls out.

(Coyotes say Hi!)
What the actual eff. Don't say it's a non-hockey market. Team sucks right now and attendance is down yes. But pretty crazy how good the fan base has been for many many years.

Hell....we even have our own hockey pervs. From yesterday:

Sharks Sports & Entertainment's full statement bellow:

“Earlier today, we were made aware that a former Jr. Sharks youth hockey coach has been arrested by the San Jose Police Department. This individual has not coached in our program since May 2023 and none of these extremely serious allegations were brought forth to our organization while he was involved with the program. All of the coaches in our youth programs are pre-screened and SafeSport Certified as required by the governing body USA Hockey, and undergo a criminal background check. The safety and well-being of all of our youth participants and their families is our top priority and we intend to cooperate fully and completely with any investigation into this matter.”

Maybe the Sharks will get relegated to the ECHL.

I know everyone wants the Flames to follow their blueprint. But no thanks watching garbage like that for 5 to 7 years minimum.

This could legitimately be the worst team ever iced in modern NHL history.

Fairly confident the Wranglers could take them right now.

2 games allowing 10 goals in a row. That's gotta be a record

Never thought I’d see a team worse than Buffalo and Arizona in 2015 but here we are.

Tough to feel bad. They were good for more than a decade, but never won. That's ok. They also had the luxury of being in a location that lots of NHL players preferred to sign in as well, which helped.

I do wonder how big of a bounce-up they have, or if they stay this horrid all season. When you get this bad, your franchise starts becoming a joke, and suddenly your rebuild is taking over 5 years.. then 7.. then 10, and you never seem to be able to get back on track.
