Yep, they may have to trade someone and its not like Kylington is gone forever he could be back in a couple days

If they are forced to move a player I wouldn't be shocked if it was Hanifin for a substantial return

Kylington not in the line up? Last I heard he stepped away for a family issue. I would imagine that will not not last long and he'll be playing a pre season game or two and be ready for game 1.

Well until we know for sure he will be back to start the season, we can't assume. We don't know what he is dealing with, and if they knew when he was coming back I don't think Treliving would say he will only speak again when he has an update.

I bet Kylington is back sooner rather than later though...likely a family member sick or something and Tre didn't want 1000 questions

It actually doesn't matter what we know, as the only thing we know is that we don't.

I promise what "we" know about Kylington's situation will have absolutely zero impact on any personnel decisions whatsoever lol. Who cares what we know?

I wouldn't consider him a reliable source for NHL rumors, but FWIW Jimmy Murphy of the hockeynow network is saying he has not heard Hanifin's name out there in trade chatter.

But they’ve got plenty of one-way blueliner contracts and an always-on-standby Michael Stone, who’s dssddon a PTO right now
For the life of me, I cannot figure what this was supposed to be.

Umm ... as the guy who wrote this in the very late hours last night and was struggling to stay awake at the keyboard, I can confirm that those letters are the ones that tend to get hit by accident when nodding off.

Apparently it happened as I was editing my own work and missed it until I saw your post. I'll go fix that now.

I'll say this about Jimmy for sources - he's got some pretty good ones. Was Tkachuk's name in negotiations for Eichel? Absolutely it was. I'll stand by that one forever as previous CP threads can attest.

That is an interesting what if. Eichel vs Tkachuk vs Huberdeau/Weegar

I'll take Weegar and Huberdeau for Tkachuk 100 times out of 100.

Eichel is one of the most over rated players in the league

Every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Tkachuk for Huberdeau straight up would have been ok, a little iffy because of the age difference. But then to also get Weegar, Schwindt, and a 1st on top of it? Start the car!

Spotted at the Oilers locker room sale. Apparently these are legit, Oilers were in talks to acquire these players. Pretty sloppy to have this out in the public imo

Jumping the gun and then being too lazy to remove the name bars because they’re too busy jumping the gun on the next names.

I still can’t believe how much that organizations continue to find new ways to show how god awful they are. What a joke.

The Oilers were on the road at the deadline last year, so I guess it makes sense to have jerseys ready to go in case, but holy crap, destroy them after the fact or at the very least, remove the name bar before you sell them.

I picture dumb Holland rejecting a great trade offer because they didn’t have a jersey premade for him.

Looking at the four players there, it is pretty obvious that they are pining for a big physical defenseman in that $3 million range. It's likely that JP was the guy they were going to off load.

It's crazy that they would go and have jerseys made up before anything was done. It shows how arrogant their management is. To go and sell the jerseys at a locker room sale now? That is just WTF levels of stupidity.
