The Lightning scored twice in a minute to take a 2-0 lead. Foligno has scored to cut into the lead, 2-1 Tampa Bay midway through the first period.

I'm watching the TBL/CBJ game...so that's what it looks like when a team facing elimination plays like their season depends on it...

The Lightning strike back with a pair of goals including the tying goal with 98 seconds left in regulation time. It is now 4-4 heading into OVERTIME!

Win or lose, great fight from CBJ tonight.
Win or lose, I'd be pleased to see that from the Flames tomorrow.

Agreed, I just want to see them go down swinging tomorrow if that is the end.

Tough break for CBJ. But...that's how you fight in an elimination game. Flames, take freaking note.

Good fight by Blue Jackets. Jon Cooper's job IMO is on the line though. He needs to get the Lightning deep deep into the playoffs, to keep it.

Well if that's really true, just another name to add to the list of good coaches potentially available this off-season.

That will be passed over for Troy Ward.

I'll say there is no way we pass on this excellent crop of coaches. But then again, we probably find a way to do exactly that.

on a side note... I am surprised that NBC lets Milbury cover Boston games. He is so over-the-top biased that you can't even listen to him. Even the homers doing Oiler games would be embarrassed listening to him.

the Yotes' will has been broken. COL just rolled through them like the blitzkrieg through Alsace-Lorraine

That would be foolish, Tocchet has been a great coach for you guys and your GM already quit.

Honestly this Avalanche team is just that talented, and is just a better constructed roster.

As an aside. I'm not sure why the NHL went with including a back to back in each series in this round at all.

Feels like they could have just went 4 games per day, alternating days, and that would have been the best schedule. Probably best for the ice to only have 2 games per day per rink too. And then next round should just be two games per day, one per hub. Don't mess around with altering schedules, and back to backs.

Haydn Fleury's goal in the first period is the only goal so far, 1-0 Carolina midway through the second period.
