We need to do what the Bruins do. Grade A scoring chance for the visitors in the slot... turn off the lights!

Bruins score 4 goals over about 7 minutes.

4-0 Boston over Florida.

The team is still an absolute tire fire defensively. The last goal was after Bobrovsky went cross crease to rob them of a goal. Chara was just standing there unmolested and gently lifted it into the net.

Goddam it.

What an organization Boston is.

Unbelievable how quickly they retooled the roster back into cup contender despite Chiarelli completely whiffing the Seguin trade. They also pretty much blew the 2015 draft with their 3 first rounders but it sure didnt slow them down much i guess. Imagine if they had taken Barzal, Connor and Chabot instead of Zboril, Debrusk and Senyshyn?

That goal by Makar was beautiful.

The BJs were playing hang on with their 1-0 lead in the third period. Robinson's goal in the first period was holding up, Gallagher just tied it. The BJs back up goalie is in net.

Panthers have scored 3 early in the 3rd to pull within one of the Bruins.

This is why you can never fully give up on the Panthers. They can put the puck in the net, quite well I might add.

But then they'll give you just as many chances the other way. So frustrating to watch.

Makar scored the only goal so far, 1-0 Avalanche in the second period.

WOW!!

Panthers erase a 4-0 deficit at the beginning of the third and come all the way back. Yandle scores with 1:39 left to tie it at 4.

Amazing work ethic when they could have easily packed it in on the road against the mighty Bruins.

Getting a point is huge here. Hopefully they can get the 2nd one now.

Go Panthers! Reminds me of the Flames vs Nashville.

Fun OT period, but I hated the non call on the Boston player waterskiing on a Panther during a 2-on-1.

I saw quite a few non calls that should have gone the Panthers in the last minute and in OT. Don't want to upset the home town crowd, and based on how Boston fans can be, I don't blame them.

Trocheck!

Panthers win!

Montembeault looked very, very good in the shootout. Word is he's been very strong in them so far this year.

Biggest comeback in Panthers history. There's a good vibe around this team. If they ever get the team defense figured out they'll be dangerous.

Do they just need a shutdown defender? What's going on?

A little bit, yes, but more so the entire team just forgets about the defensive zone for parts of the game. Blown coverage, weak battles, no focus, no determination. It's something that Coach Q is teaching them about right now, but I think most of their forwards don't play good defense, and outside of Ekblad, who isn't necessarily a stalwart, there aren't enough good pure defenders on the back end.

But they can score. One of the deepest teams at forward:

Barkov, Huberdeau, Dadonov, Trocheck, Hoffman, Connolly, Vatrano, Malgin, etc. Huberdeau and Barkov each have 24 points in 18 games so far.

Plus, they have 4 good offensive defensemen in Yandle, Ekblad, Matheson, and Weegar.

Again, I don't think this team will ever be the second coming of the 90's Devils, but if they can just play a solid defensive game they could be a very good team this year.

I wonder if Florida might be willing to part with one of its many forwards to acquire Travis Hamonic.

Maybe Henrik Borgstrom? Former first-rounder who hasn't really been able to stick thus far.
