Just wanted to say that I liked your Burgerquest website, but it's not easily apparent what burger you guys were all testing.
For example, Laurier Lounge was obvious, but for Boogies Burgers I only found that Mr. Wunder Bun actually listed the burger he was reviewing.

That's a fair point - we'll make sure to outline which burger we got.

Jiri, you should check out the Kona Burger at Original Joe's if you haven't tried it yet. It isn't the single most calorie-laden item on the entire menu for nothing (1370 calories for just the burger!) Go to the Joe's on 130th if it's not too far out of your way. The service there is exceptional.

I ate at Loungeburger the last Friday before Christmas of last year for lunch. I got pretty sick Christmas Eve, don't know if it was the burger or the calamari or maybe not even that... but haven't been back.

When Loungeburger first opened you could customize your burger but now you just get a few generic burgers, I don't go there anymore.
I like the burgerquest website. Similar to the reviewers, I hate frozen patties- especially the "cloverleaf" style. I can make much better burgers at home.

As it should be mentioned again, I think Dairy lane and their other place in Bridgeland have the best burger going. I think the pork one is better than the meat to be honest.

Yup, Dairy Lane burger with cheese is where it's at. I enjoy actually tasting the hamburger.

Thanks for all the input guys. The list of places we want to hit is long.
The CBC Homestretch has given us a regular segment on their show for the next month or so. Our first segment aired yesterday afternoon, but you hear it here:
http://www.cbc.ca/homestretch/episod...-of-the-round/
We are going to be on Tuesdays at 4:40 PM for the next 4 weeks reviewing some joints for them.

Pork is not meat? What is the difference?

Personally, I'm still waiting for someone to provide me with a burger experience that's better than Rocky's Burger Bus. Sitting on a crappy old picnic table perched on a small hill in some random industrial part of town with an amazingly juicy burger and great fries..... Good times. Can't wait for them to open for the season.
Just saw your abysmal score for Rocky's, Jiri. That's an outrage. My rage has gone outside. The same score as Burger King? What the what?

It simply isn't a good burger. No attention is paid to toppings or the bun. It simply a huge piece of beef on a bun. That for me is far from a perfect burger. I give them credit for using fresh meat, but that's about it.

Personally I like minimal toppings, and think the meat is the most important thing in a burger. Rocky's reminds of a great backyard bbq burger.
I don't find it terribly different than your #1 choice Five Guys (which I also love myself). But then again I don't pile on the toppings there either.

Btw, if on your quest, you happen to find a Juicy Lucy in town, let us know. Still one of the most genius ideas ever though of by man (cheese placed into the middle of the patty so its melted when you bite into it). I had one of these at one of the great burger bars in St.Paul (The Nook) and it was one of the best burgers I've had in my life.

Anxious to try it though.
